Come the walima, the commission changes character while wearing the same suit. Night, a big hall, an entrance built for effect, colour chosen by whoever dressed the room, and a very long procession of guests wanting their turn beside you. That procession gets scheduled, rather than being left to eat the meal, and we check when plates go out so nothing is shot into an empty room. Left loose, greetings consume the whole night.
