Whose Ruling Sets the Camera's Place

Ceremonial authority changes hands from wedding to wedding. It belongs to a priest here, to a gurdwara committee there, to an imam somewhere else, and our practical question stays constant: whose ruling governs where a camera goes. That is asked before anything starts, and that ruling sets our method for the day, which beats importing a fixed one and hoping the occasion accommodates it. Anyone who has seen a photographer guess wrongly once will want the question put early.

Structures decide framing. A mandap is entered from one side and seen from three, so the useful positions are fewer than a large room suggests. A palki travels, and travelling subjects want reach and space rather than closeness. Where a nikah gets signed at a table, geometry tightens right in around it. Style plays no part in any of that; each is a shape handed to you by the object and the room together.
