The Vidaai
The most emotional moment of the day, photographed with great sensitivity and care.
Hindu wedding photography in Epping, from the lighting of the havan to the giving of the sindoor and mangalsutra, captured as it happens and never staged.
Serving Epping
Epping is an Essex town on the edge of Epping Forest. Hindu families throughout Theydon Bois, Loughton and Ongar trust us with their celebrations, large and small. Whether your mandap is in Epping itself or elsewhere across Essex, we plan the day around your venues.
We follow your family's customs closely and photograph them exactly as you keep them. We are calm and unhurried, gathering the whole story without ever getting in the way. We keep the calm of the mandap and the energy of the reception in equal measure.
We travel throughout Essex for mandap ceremonies, and Epping is one we know well. We also photograph in nearby Chigwell and Brentwood.

What we offer
The most emotional moment of the day, photographed with great sensitivity and care.
The speeches, the first dance and the bhangra, captured to the very last guest.
A sneak preview soon after the wedding, with your full gallery and album to follow.
Every tradition
We work quietly around the pandit so the ceremony at the mandap is never disturbed. We photograph the mangalsutra and sindoor, the signs of the new marriage, with tenderness. At the heart of a Hindu wedding is the agni, the sacred fire that witnesses the marriage.
The day often opens with a Ganesh puja for an auspicious start, and we are there for it. From the first event to the last, we tell the full story of the celebration. The sangeet is an evening of music and dance, and we capture all of its energy.

The whole celebration
The early events are full of warmth and laughter, and we photograph them with the same care as the ceremony. A Gujarati celebration might open with the mandvo and grah shanti, followed by the pithi.
We stay through the evening to capture the reception, from the grand entrance to the last dance. We know the order and timing of the wedding day, so we are always in position for each ritual.
Why choose us
We know the rhythm of a mandap ceremony by heart, so the sacred moments are always captured. Twenty-five years behind the lens means we know exactly what comes next in the order of the day.
We are London-based but rarely in London; much of our work takes us across the Home Counties. We photograph weddings throughout the Home Counties, and Epping is firmly within the area we cover.

Where we travel
We factor in travel and timings carefully, so we are always where we need to be. Distance is never a problem; travelling to your venues is simply part of how we work.

Very much so. We know the mandap rituals by heart, from the jaimala and kanyadaan to the pheras and the saptapadi, and we position ourselves so the sindoor and mangalsutra are always captured.
Absolutely. The haldi, mehndi and sangeet are often where the warmest, most natural moments happen, and we are glad to cover them as part of your wedding.
Yes, and it is one of our favourite parts of the day. We capture the dhol, the dancing and the groom's arrival, and the milni as the two families meet, with all of its energy.
