The mandap, the agni and the pheras

The exchange of garlands high above the guests is a moment of laughter and joy, and we are ready for it. We photograph the couple's first steps as husband and wife around the sacred fire. We know the order of the mandap rituals by heart, so we are always in position.

We document the roka and the engagement that begin the journey, when families ask us. The mehndi night, the sangeet and the haldi each carry their own mood, and we photograph them all. We capture the groom's arrival in procession, on a horse or in a car, surrounded by dancing family.
