We shoot it wide from a spot we do not leave, with a second body already pre-focused close, since there is no retake and nobody will stage one for you. Everything before it is calmer: the haldi carries its own yellow cast, which we would rather correct in camera than argue with later, and the baraat gives us motion we can anticipate.

Then the circuit. The pheras repeat seven times and look identical on paper, which they must not do across a set of photographs, so something changes deliberately on each pass: height, side, whether the priest appears, whether we are watching hands or faces. Kanyadaan is quiet and framed tight. The sindoor is smaller still. Vidaai closes the day, and through it we direct nothing at all and simply keep our distance.
