Hotel function rooms often use tungsten downlights that turn white dresses orange, so the white balance is set from a test frame before anyone enters the room. First kisses are unpredictable in length, so we hold the frame throughout rather than shooting once and lowering the camera while it is still happening.

Group photographs need not feel like a chore, and we run them briskly and with good humour so you are soon back among your guests. Cake cutting takes forty seconds and is almost always announced at short notice, so we ask the venue coordinator to warn us five minutes ahead rather than as it begins.
