Serving Maidstone
Maidstone is the county town of Kent with country-house venues. Muslim families throughout Aylesford, Bearsted and Tovil trust us with their celebrations, large and small. We work discreetly at mosques and banqueting halls, mindful of prayer times and every family's wishes.
We are at ease with multi-day Muslim celebrations and intimate nikah ceremonies at home alike. We document each event as it happens, from the mehndi to the walima, so your gallery feels true to the day you lived. We take time beforehand to understand your customs, from the agreeing of the mahr to the order of the walima.
We are often in Maidstone for Muslim weddings, and from London the area, taking in Aylesford, Bearsted and Tovil, is an easy journey. Maidstone is the county town of Kent with country-house venues. We also photograph in nearby Sevenoaks and Tonbridge. In and around Maidstone, we have photographed at venues such as Mercure Maidstone Great Danes Hotel, The Orchard and Stone Court House.
Maidstone is the county town of Kent, sitting on the River Medway with a busy market tradition. Served by Maidstone East and Maidstone West stations and close to the M20 motorway. For portraits away from the celebration, Mote Park, a large country park with a lake works beautifully, and Leeds Castle nearby, and the medieval Archbishop's Palace in the town adds a real sense of place.

What we offer
Discreet, respectful coverage at the masjid, at home or in a banqueting hall, mindful of prayer times.
A sneak preview of the nikah soon after the wedding, with your full gallery and album to follow.
The henna, the dholki music and the dancing of the mehndi, where the warmest moments often happen.
Every tradition
From the ijab-e-qubool to the dua, the ceremony tells its own story, and we follow it closely. We photograph the giving and receiving of the ring, where it is part of your customs. The exchange of consent and the joining of the two families is captured as it happens.
The mehndi night is full of colour, music and dancing, and often holds the warmest moments of all. We photograph the bridal preparations with a gentle, unobtrusive eye. We capture the family moments around the bride and groom, not just the formal parts of the day.

The whole celebration
The mehndi and dholki are lively, colourful gatherings that set the tone for everything to come. Many families hold a mangni long before the wedding, and a mehndi the night before the nikah.
We keep the day flowing, moving smoothly between the nikah, the family photos and the walima. We photograph the ceremony, the portraits and the reception in balance, so each is given its due.
Why choose us
Twenty-five years behind the lens means we know exactly when the ijab-e-qubool gives way to the signing of the nikah-nama. Decades of weddings mean we read the masjid instinctively and never miss the moment the nikah-nama is signed.
We travel happily across Kent and the surrounding counties for the baraat, the nikah and the walima. We are used to celebrations spread from the mosque to the banqueting hall, and keep the day flowing between them.

Where we travel
We photograph nikah ceremonies throughout the Home Counties, and Maidstone is firmly within the area we cover. We are London-based and travel across Kent and the wider region for the nikah and the walima.

Good to know
Absolutely. The mangni, the mehndi and the dholki are often where the warmest, most natural moments happen, and we are glad to cover them as part of your wedding, with a female photographer for the ladies' events where you wish.
You will receive a small preview soon after the day, followed by your full edited gallery. We then design a hand-finished album that holds the whole story of your celebration.
Very much so. We know the nikah by heart, from the ijab-e-qubool and the mahr to the signing of the nikah-nama and the dua, and we position ourselves so each moment is captured calmly.
Always. We carry backup cameras, lenses and memory cards to every wedding, and back up your images on the day as we go, so your photographs are safe from the moment they are taken until your album is ready.
Of course. We regularly photograph weddings that blend cultural events such as the mehndi and the baraat with the religious nikah, and we cover fusion and mixed-faith celebrations with care, respecting the traditions of both families throughout the day.
