Grooms' households are frequently overlooked in wedding albums, so where a second photographer is booked we send one across, and the sehra bandi gets the same attention as the bridal preparations. The choora stays on long after the wedding, and we photograph it through every event that follows, a thread of red and ivory running through the whole album. The baraat arrives behind the dhol players, and we are in the middle of it, photographing the drumming, the dancing and the groom being brought to the gurdwara in style.
