The short answer
Kaushik Bathia is an award winning wedding photographer based in London, photographing weddings in Rugby and throughout Warwickshire for over twenty five years and more than a thousand celebrations. Throughout the day we stay unobtrusive and adaptable, adjusting quietly to changes of plan so the coverage never feels stiff or interrupted. Whatever your wedding looks like in Rugby, a church service, a register office, a country house, a barn or a hotel, and whatever your traditions, we photograph the whole day as it happens. Long experience means we handle groups and speeches smoothly, keeping things moving so the schedule holds and your guests stay relaxed. A second photographer, relaxed engagement shoots and hand finished fine art albums are all available, and we travel across Warwickshire and the wider UK so distance is never a problem.
Serving Rugby
Rugby is a Warwickshire town with country-house venues. Our work takes us to churches, garden venues, marquees, barns and grand houses all over Lutterworth, Daventry and Hinckley and the wider Warwickshire. We photograph readings, rings and the signing of the register with a light hand, blending multicultural or fusion elements naturally when they are part of your day.
Our editing is understated and true to life, favouring natural tones over heavy effects so your album still feels right many years from now. Our approach leans on being calm and unobtrusive, blending into the day so guests forget we are there and simply carry on enjoying themselves. We shoot with a storyteller's eye, watching how the day connects together, so the finished collection reads as a narrative rather than a set of separate photographs.
There is a lot to like about photographing in Rugby. Rugby is a Warwickshire town with country-house venues, and couples from Nuneaton and Leamington Spa regularly ask us to cover their day here as well. Close to Rugby, we have worked at venues including Ashton Lodge Country House and Bourton Hall.
Rugby is a Warwickshire market town famous as the birthplace of rugby football at Rugby School in 1823. Rugby railway station is on the West Coast Main Line with connections to London Euston and Birmingham, and the M6, M1 and M45 are nearby. We often take couples to Caldecott Park, a landscaped Victorian park in the centre of Rugby for a few quiet portraits, and Rugby School, birthplace of the game of rugby football is a lovely backdrop nearby.

What we offer
Printed albums are made by hand from your favourite frames, so the day lives somewhere beyond a screen.
We set aside quiet time for portraits of the two of you, images made to be framed and enjoyed for years.
The family groups are done kindly and briskly, worked out beforehand so nobody stands around waiting.
Every kind of wedding
When two traditions come together in one ceremony, we photograph each part with equal warmth so the finished set honours both sides of your family. During the ceremony we work quietly with longer lenses, so whether you exchange vows in a church, a register office or a garden, we stay unobtrusive and miss nothing. The exchange of rings, the signing of the register and the walk back up the aisle all matter to us, and we cover each without asking you to pause.
From the buttonholes being pinned to the sparklers at the door, we follow the surrounding events of the day and treat each one as part of the same story. A pre-wedding or engagement session beforehand lets us get to know you, so that by the wedding day the camera already feels like part of the furniture. Portraits with your family and closest friends matter, and we make time for them without letting the schedule stall or the day lose its momentum.

The whole celebration
We like to reach the getting ready early, so we can settle in, meet the people around you and be part of the calm before things begin in earnest. Multi part weddings ask for careful planning, and we agree the key moments across each gathering in advance so nothing important slips past unseen.
We deliver a set that feels balanced, giving weight to the getting ready, the vows, the meal and the dancing so no chapter is left thin. We watch the whole room, not only the couple, so the day comes back to you through your guests' faces as much as your own.
Why choose us
We travel throughout the country for weddings and have grown used to new venues quickly, arriving prepared and settling into a room without fuss. Long experience means we handle groups and speeches smoothly, keeping things moving so the schedule holds and your guests stay relaxed.
We are happy to follow you wherever the celebration leads, and venues throughout Warwickshire are all comfortably within our reach. We would rather arrive early and relaxed than cut it fine, so we set off in good time for weddings anywhere in Warwickshire and the counties beyond.

Where we travel
From our studio it is an easy run out to Warwickshire, and we always allow generous time so we can settle in well before the first shot. Ceremony in one town and reception in another is a pattern we handle smoothly, planning the gap so the pictures never stop, whether that is within Lutterworth, Daventry and Hinckley or across Warwickshire.

Good to know
Yes. We carry professional lighting and fast lenses, so dark ceremony rooms, winter afternoons and evening receptions are all manageable. We know how to work in low light without flattening the mood of a room. You do not need to change your plans around the forecast or the season.
Many couples find it does. A relaxed pre-wedding session lets you get used to how we work and how you look in your photos, with no pressure and no audience. It also gives us images for save-the-dates or guest books. By your wedding day, being photographed feels natural rather than new.
We are happy to travel further afield for a destination wedding and have photographed couples in some beautiful settings. We will talk through travel, accommodation, and timings with you, so everything is clear and settled well before you fly. Photographing weddings away from home is one of the real joys of what we do.
Yes. Where a moment suits it, we prepare a considered black and white version alongside the colour edit, usually for strong light, emotion or reportage frames. You are not charged extra for this. The full gallery is delivered in colour, with black and white used where it genuinely adds something.
Our aim is a timeless, natural finish that will still feel right in twenty years, so we avoid trend-led filters and extreme colour grades. Skin tones stay true and whites stay clean. You get a consistent look across the whole gallery rather than images that jump between styles.
Prices vary with the hours you need, whether you would like a second photographer, and if you want a finished album. We are happy to talk you through the options for your Rugby wedding and put together a quote that suits your day and your budget. Do call us on 07956 505383 for a friendly chat.
Most couples choose full coverage from the morning preparations through to the first dance, all your edited high-resolution images, and a private online gallery to share with family and friends. You can add a second photographer, an engagement shoot, or one of our hand-finished fine-art albums. We will tailor the details to the day you have in mind.
