Ruins and modern architecture standing side by side is rare, and Coventry Cathedral offers exactly that, with the preserved medieval remains beside the modern Basil Spence building. Foleshill, in northern Coventry, is the only one of the city's wards with a non-white majority, and a large celebration at Coombe Abbey, Stoneleigh Abbey, the Windmill Village Hotel or the Royal Court Hotel can bring guest numbers that make a second photographer sensible rather than optional. War Memorial Park on Kenilworth Road and Coombe Abbey Park at Binley are outdoor options for group photographs. Coventry station is on the West Coast Main Line, with Avanti West Coast trains to London Euston, which helps guests travelling in from further afield.
