Mameru, when the bride's maternal uncle arrives with gifts and sarees, is one of the warmest of the Gujarati pre-wedding events, and we cover the presenting as well as the reactions. The pithi ceremony is warm and a little chaotic, and we photograph the paste, the teasing and the closeness of your relatives as they take turns applying it to you.
