Serving Birmingham

Hindu wedding photography in Birmingham

Birmingham is one of the UK's great Asian wedding cities, with countless temples, gurdwaras, mosques and banqueting venues. From the mandap to the reception, we keep the day flowing across venues throughout Smethwick, Handsworth and Edgbaston. Whether your mandap is in Birmingham itself or elsewhere across the West Midlands, we plan the day around your venues.

We work discreetly around the pandit and the families, never intruding on a sacred moment. We capture the details too, the flowers, the jewellery, the mandap, that make your day yours. We photograph the sacred and the joyful with equal care, the agni as faithfully as the bhangra.

We have photographed Hindu weddings throughout Smethwick, Handsworth and Edgbaston for many years, and Birmingham is a familiar and welcome destination. We also cover nearby Coventry and Wolverhampton.

Every tradition

The rituals that make your day

We work quietly around the pandit so the ceremony at the mandap is never disturbed. We keep our distance during the most solemn moments and step in only for the joyful ones. We are ready for the giving of the sindoor and the tying of the mangalsutra.

The mehndi night, the sangeet and the haldi each carry their own mood, and we photograph them all. We are glad to cover a single event or the whole multi-day celebration. The griha pravesh welcomes the bride into her new home, and we are there for it.

The whole celebration

From baraat to griha pravesh

A multi-day Hindu wedding can run across three or four days, and we plan our coverage around all of them. The days before the wedding often hold the most relaxed, candid moments of the whole celebration.

For the busiest days, a second photographer covers two moments at once, the baraat and the bridal prep. Whether the wedding and reception are on the same day or spread across a weekend, we plan for it.
