We take both, one long and one wide, then stay off the floor entirely once you are seated. The havan changes that arithmetic again: smoke rises, gathers under whatever ceiling you have, and softens everything it drifts through.
Off-axis to the window that smoke reads as texture; straight into the light it reads as fog, which is why position matters more than any setting on the camera. Nobody is ready for how quickly the garlands go on, often with one or both of you lifted, so we prefocus on the space between you and frame loose enough for raised arms. Haldi asks for the reverse: yellow everywhere, nobody standing still, and a photographer content to end the morning with paste on his sleeve.
