Serving Mill End
Mill End is a Rickmansworth neighbourhood in the Colne valley. Across Hertfordshire, including Croxley Green, Maple Cross, we photograph the colour and devotion of every South Indian ritual. From grand banqueting suites to intimate temple ceremonies, we are at home in every South Indian setting.
We move quietly around the mandapam, capturing the thali tying as it happens rather than staging it. We document each event as it happens, from the kashi yatra to the reception, so your gallery feels true to the day. Our approach is relaxed and documentary, so you can be present at your own muhurtham rather than posing for it.
Mill End is a Rickmansworth neighbourhood in the Colne valley, and we love photographing Tamil weddings here and across the Home Counties. We regularly cover nearby Oxhey and St Albans as well. In and around Mill End, we have photographed at venues such as The Waterside Venue, The Grove and Moor Park Golf Club.
A suburb of Rickmansworth in the Colne valley, historically a hamlet with a paper mill, tannery and brewery. Sits on the A412 Uxbridge Road, with the nearest station at Rickmansworth on the Metropolitan line and Chiltern Railways. For portraits away from the celebration, Rickmansworth Aquadrome with Bury Lake and Stockers Lake works beautifully, and The William Penn Leisure Centre, named after the former school on the site adds a real sense of place.

What we offer
The entrance, the greetings and the celebration after the thali tying, captured to the very last guest.
A handful of timeless portraits in your Kanjeevaram silk and temple jewellery, away from the mandapam.
The tying of the thali to the sound of the nadaswaram, the heart of the wedding, captured with reverence.
Every tradition
We photograph the couple's first steps together around the sacred homam fire. The blessings of the elders and the sammandhi mariyathai close the ceremony, and we capture them with warmth. We are mindful of every family's customs at the mandapam, Iyer, Iyengar or Sri Lankan Tamil.
The grihapravesam welcomes the bride into her new home, and we are there for it. The paalikai, when the seed pots are prepared, is a quiet, lovely ritual we cover with a gentle eye. We photograph the bridal preparations, the draping of the Kanjeevaram silk and the jasmine in the hair, with a gentle eye.

The whole celebration
The mehndi brings an intimate evening of henna and laughter before the wedding day itself. Tell us which events matter most and we will build the coverage around them.
We know the order and timing of the wedding day, so we are always in position for each ritual. The story often ends with the grihapravesam that welcomes the bride into her new home.
Why choose us
Twenty-five years behind the lens means we know exactly what follows the maalai maatral in the order of the day. Families return to us because we treat the homam and the saptapadi with the reverence they deserve.
We photograph Tamil weddings throughout the Home Counties, and Mill End is firmly within the area we cover. Distance is never a problem; reaching your temple, your kalyana mandapam and your reception is simply part of how we work.

Where we travel
We travel happily across Hertfordshire for the whole celebration, from the kashi yatra to the reception. We cover the Home Counties and beyond, and are glad to travel further afield for the muhurtham on request.

Good to know
Of course. Whether it is an intimate temple ceremony or a celebration of several hundred guests, we tailor our coverage to your day and photograph every ritual with the same care, however large or small the gathering.
Yes. We know the flow of a Tamil ceremony by heart, from the kashi yatra and the maalai maatral to the oonjal, the kanyadaanam, the thali tying and the saptapadi, so we are always ready for each one in turn.
Yes. Our style is mainly documentary, capturing the day as it happens, but we will also gather a handful of timeless couple and family portraits, so your album holds both the natural energy and a few quieter, elegant images.
Absolutely. The nichayathartham, the mehndi and the sumangali prarthanai are often where the warmest, most natural moments happen, and we are glad to cover them as part of your wedding, with the same care as the ceremony itself.
Yes. We have photographed Sri Lankan Tamil weddings for many years alongside South Indian ones, and we are familiar with the customs and the flow of the day, so nothing about your celebration catches us off guard.
