Serving Mill End
Mill End is a Rickmansworth neighbourhood in the Colne valley. We are comfortable in every setting in Croxley Green, Maple Cross, from a lavish mandap to a quiet family puja. From Mill End we cover weddings right across Hertfordshire, at temples, hotels, marquees and banqueting suites.
We photograph with warmth and respect, mindful of the meaning behind each ritual. We balance documentary coverage with a few quiet portraits, so your album holds both energy and elegance. Our style is unobtrusive, so the day feels like yours and never a photoshoot.
From our London base we travel across Hertfordshire for Hindu weddings, and Mill End, a Rickmansworth neighbourhood in the Colne valley, is a familiar destination. We also photograph in nearby Oxhey and St Albans. Venues we know well in and near Mill End include The Waterside Venue, The Grove and Moor Park Golf Club.
A suburb of Rickmansworth in the Colne valley, historically a hamlet with a paper mill, tannery and brewery. Sits on the A412 Uxbridge Road, with the nearest station at Rickmansworth on the Metropolitan line and Chiltern Railways. We often take couples to Rickmansworth Aquadrome with Bury Lake and Stockers Lake for a few quiet portraits, and The William Penn Leisure Centre, named after the former school on the site is a lovely backdrop nearby.

What we offer
The seven steps around the holy fire and the giving of the sindoor and mangalsutra, captured with reverence.
The haldi, mehndi and sangeet, where the warmest, most natural moments often happen.
The milni, the blessings and the ashirwad, so the whole gathering is remembered.
Every tradition
We photograph the lighting of the havan and the blessings of the pandit with respect. For Gujarati families, we know the hastamelap and the four mangal pheras and photograph each as you keep it. We are mindful of every family's customs at the mandap, Gujarati, Punjabi, Marwari or North Indian.
We capture the groom's arrival in procession, on a horse or in a car, surrounded by dancing family. We photograph the milni, when the two families meet, with all of its warmth. We document the roka and the engagement that begin the journey, when families ask us.

The whole celebration
The celebration usually builds gradually, from the quiet of the puja to the exuberance of the sangeet. Many Hindu weddings begin days before the wedding with the Ganesh puja, the haldi and a mehndi.
For the busiest days, a second photographer covers two moments at once, the baraat and the bridal prep. We always recommend a little time for couple portraits, often at golden hour, away from the bustle.
Why choose us
With twenty-five years and over a thousand weddings behind us, nothing about a Hindu ceremony surprises us. Our experience across Gujarati, Punjabi, Marwari and North Indian weddings runs deep.
We are London-based and travel across Hertfordshire and the wider region for Hindu weddings. We are glad to discuss your venues and the journey between them when you enquire.

Where we travel
Distance is never a problem; travelling to your venues is simply part of how we work. We are London-based but rarely in London; much of our work takes us across the Home Counties.

Good to know
Yes. We stay through the evening to capture the speeches, the first dance and the bhangra, right to the last guest on the floor.
Very much so. We know the mandap rituals by heart, from the jaimala and kanyadaan to the pheras and the saptapadi, and we position ourselves so the sindoor and mangalsutra are always captured.
Yes. We understand that the auspicious muhurat sets the pace of the ceremony, and we plan our coverage around it so the pheras and saptapadi are always captured calmly and on time.
Yes. We are comfortable photographing respectfully at temples and around the mandap, working quietly around the pandit and the sacred fire.
Very. We photograph the pheras and the sacred fire from a respectful distance with quiet, long-lens work, so the ceremony is never disturbed.
