Serving Mill End
Mill End is a Rickmansworth neighbourhood in the Colne valley. Sikh families throughout Croxley Green, Maple Cross trust us with their celebrations, large and small. From the darbar sahib to the reception floor, we photograph the whole day with a calm, familiar presence.
We anticipate each part of the Anand Karaj, so the milni, the four laavan and the ardaas are never missed. We photograph with warmth and respect, mindful of the meaning behind each shabad the ragis sing. We are calm and unhurried, gathering the whole story of the Anand Karaj without ever getting in the way.
From our London base we travel across Hertfordshire for Sikh weddings, and Mill End, a Rickmansworth neighbourhood in the Colne valley, is a familiar destination. We also photograph in nearby Oxhey and St Albans. We are at home at Mill End-area venues such as The Waterside Venue, The Grove and Moor Park Golf Club.
A suburb of Rickmansworth in the Colne valley, historically a hamlet with a paper mill, tannery and brewery. Sits on the A412 Uxbridge Road, with the nearest station at Rickmansworth on the Metropolitan line and Chiltern Railways. For portraits away from the celebration, Rickmansworth Aquadrome with Bury Lake and Stockers Lake works beautifully, and The William Penn Leisure Centre, named after the former school on the site adds a real sense of place.

What we offer
The bride's departure from her family home, the most emotional moment of the day, photographed with great sensitivity.
From the Akhand Path and maiyan to the doli, every day of the Sikh celebration covered.
Punjabi and Sikh weddings across every family tradition, with the milni and the laavan understood.
Every tradition
As the ragis sing each laav, the couple walk slowly around the Guru Granth Sahib, and we photograph it quietly from the side. From the milni to the final ardaas, the Anand Karaj tells its own story, and we follow it closely. The hukamnama, the reading taken after the laavan, closes the ceremony, and we capture it with respect.
From the turmeric of the maiyan to the music of the jaggo, the events set the tone for the wedding. The doli, when the bride leaves her family home, is the most tender moment of the day. The jaggo night is an evening of music, dancing and pots lit with candles, and we capture all of its energy.

The whole celebration
A celebration might open with the chunni ceremony, followed by the maiyan and the mehndi. The pre-wedding events often span several days, each with its own mood.
The best galleries are spread evenly across the day, not saved for the laavan alone. We keep the day flowing, moving smoothly between the ceremony, the langar, the family photos and the reception.
Why choose us
We have built our reputation on reliability, warmth and a genuine love of Sikh weddings and their rituals. We have photographed Sikh weddings and their gurdwara ceremonies across the country for more than two decades.
We are glad to discuss your gurdwara, your reception venue and the journey between them when you enquire. We photograph Sikh weddings throughout the Home Counties, and the gurdwaras around Mill End are firmly within the area we cover.

Where we travel
We photograph across Hertfordshire regularly, and travelling to a gurdwara in Mill End is second nature to us. We cover the Home Counties and beyond for the darbar sahib and the reception, and are glad to travel further afield on request.
