The short answer
An award winning, London based Asian wedding photographer, Kaushik Bathia has spent more than twenty five years photographing Hindu, Sikh, Muslim, Gujarati and Tamil weddings in Flitwick and across Bedfordshire. Our style is unobtrusive, so the day feels like yours and never a photoshoot. From the mehndi and sangeet to the baraat, the ceremony and the reception, we photograph every part of an Asian wedding in and around Flitwick with knowledge and care. With twenty-five years and over a thousand weddings behind us, nothing about an Asian celebration surprises us. A second photographer for the busiest days, a female photographer where needed and beautiful fine art albums are all part of what we offer, and we travel throughout Bedfordshire for your wedding.
Serving Flitwick
Flitwick is a Bedfordshire town with country venues. Across Bedfordshire, including Ampthill, Bedford and Luton, we photograph the colour and devotion of every Asian tradition. We keep our distance during the most solemn moments and step in only for the joyful ones.
We photograph the sacred and the joyful with equal care, the vows as faithfully as the bhangra. We photograph with warmth and respect, mindful of the meaning behind each ritual across every faith. A female photographer is available for the getting-ready hours and any moments where the women of the family would prefer a woman behind the camera.
Wherever your venues sit across Flitwick and the towns beyond it, we plan the route with care. Flitwick is a Bedfordshire town with country venues, and we know it, Ampthill and Woburn alike. Venues we know well in and near Flitwick include Flitwick Manor and The Barn at Brook End Green Farm.
Flitwick is a Bedfordshire town with country venues, sitting beside the River Flit and the Flitwick Moor nature reserve. Flitwick station lies on the Midland Main Line, served by Thameslink trains between Bedford and Brighton. We often take couples to Flitwick Moor, a 60 hectare nature reserve and Site of Special Scientific Interest just east of the town for a few quiet portraits, and Flitwick Manor, a Georgian country house and Grade II* listed building now run as a hotel is a lovely backdrop nearby.

What we offer
Over twenty-five years of Asian weddings mean we rarely meet a ritual or a room we have not photographed before.
The turmeric, the laughter and the mess of a haldi morning are photographed exactly as they happen, warm and unforced.
Calm, unobtrusive coverage that captures the day as you lived it, never staged.
Every tradition
The joining of hands, the knotting of the couple's garments and their first shared steps carry a marriage forward, and we document each stage as it comes. The blessings of the elders close many ceremonies, and we capture them with warmth. The kanyadaan, when a father places his daughter's hand in her husband's, is quiet and full of feeling, and we frame it without ever intruding.
Away from the couple, cousins reunite, aunts organise and children weave through the crowd, and we watch the family moments that fill the edges of the day. The farewell, when the bride leaves her family, is the most tender moment of many Asian weddings. The haldi or pithi is turmeric, colour and mischief in equal measure, and it often gives us the warmest and most unguarded frames of the whole wedding.

The whole celebration
Whether your family keeps a haldi, a pithi, a mehndi or all of them, we photograph each as you keep it. The first day of a wedding often sets the whole mood, and we treat the sangeet rehearsals and family songs with the same care we give the vows themselves.
A wedding that moves between temple, hall and reception needs coverage that moves with it, and we handle those transitions so your day reads as one story, not three. We think about the whole arc of the day before it starts, mapping the light, the venues and the meals so nothing important is rushed and nothing quiet is missed.
Why choose us
Knowing the running order of a Sikh Anand Karaj, a Gujarati hastamelap or a Tamil muhurtham means we are never caught out by a sudden change of pace. We know the rhythm of a mandap, a gurdwara and a nikah alike, so the sacred moments are always captured.
Distance rarely enters our thinking; we plan the route, allow for the traffic and arrive in good time wherever your events are held. We cover the whole of the UK for Asian weddings, so wherever your family gathers, distance is never the reason to look elsewhere.

Where we travel
Wherever your events take place across the Home Counties, we will be there in good time. We are glad to talk through your venues and the journeys between them when you first enquire, so the logistics are settled long before the day.

Good to know
Yes. Alongside your album we provide an online gallery of your edited images, which you can share easily with family whether they are near Flitwick or overseas. Relatives who could not attend the wedding can then see the day and, where you wish, order their own prints.
Certainly. Many couples hold a register office or civil ceremony alongside their religious rites, sometimes on different days, and we are happy to cover both. We build a timeline that links the two so your finished collection tells one continuous story of how you married.
Yes. The haldi or pithi is a warm, joyful morning ritual where turmeric is applied to the couple, and it makes for wonderfully candid, colourful photographs. We keep back a little to let the family enjoy the fun freely, stepping in close only when the moment invites it.
We work across Bedfordshire and travel throughout the UK, so we are likely familiar with the venues near Flitwick, and we are always glad to learn a new one. If we have not photographed there before, we research the space and arrive early to plan our coverage.
We certainly do. The dhol, the dancing and the groom's arrival, and the milni as the two families meet, are among our favourite moments to photograph, and we capture every bit of their energy.
Experience is the answer. After more than a thousand weddings, we read the pace of an Asian day instinctively, moving ahead of the action rather than chasing it. A second photographer covers a different angle at busy moments, so nothing important slips past unrecorded.
You will receive a small preview soon after the day, followed by your full edited gallery. We then design a hand-finished album that holds the whole story of your celebration.
