Mangni is where two families commit in front of each other, and the rings, the sweets and the handshakes between fathers are worth covering properly rather than treating as a warm-up. Joota chupai produces the best comedy of the day, and it cannot be directed. Shoes vanish, prices are named, and we simply follow the bargaining until the groom finally gives in.
