We photograph the sacred and the joyful with equal care, the homam as faithfully as the nalangu. We anticipate each ritual, so the kashi yatra, the oonjal and the saptapadi are never missed. We make sure the families are in the story too, not just the couple at the mandapam.

The kashi yatra, the groom's playful mock-pilgrimage, opens the ceremony with laughter, and we are ready for it. The oonjal, the gentle swing ceremony with its songs and warding off of the evil eye, is a moment we capture with warmth. At the heart of a Tamil wedding is the maangalya dharanam, the tying of the thali that seals the marriage.

The sumangali prarthanai gathers the married women of the family in blessing, and we photograph it with care. The celebration often opens with the nichayathartham, the betrothal, and we are there for it. From the henna of the mehndi to the songs of the oonjal, the events set the tone for the wedding.
