Serving Islington
Islington is a fashionable inner north London borough. We regularly photograph Tamil weddings throughout Camden, Hackney and the surrounding part of Greater London. From Islington we cover weddings right across Greater London, at temples, kalyana mandapams and banqueting suites.
We are a reassuring, familiar presence, so everyone relaxes and the oonjal songs flow naturally. We make sure the families are in the story too, not just the couple at the mandapam. A long lens and a light touch let us capture the sacred muhurtham from a respectful distance from the homam.
From the muhurtham to the reception, we keep the day flowing across Greater London, and Islington, a fashionable inner north London borough, is firmly within our patch. We also photograph in nearby Kensington and Chelsea and Lambeth. Around Islington we regularly photograph at Islington Town Hall and Islington Assembly Hall, among others.
A fashionable inner north London borough centred on Upper Street and Angel, with a lively mix of shops, theatres and restaurants. Served by Angel station on the Northern line and Highbury and Islington station on the Victoria line and London Overground. We often take couples to Highbury Fields, the borough's largest open space for a few quiet portraits, and The Emirates Stadium, home of Arsenal, in Highbury is a lovely backdrop nearby.

What we offer
Fine prints and framed art of the maalai maatral and the thali tying to bring home.
The playful post-wedding games between the couple and their families, captured with fun.
The groom's playful mock-pilgrimage that opens the ceremony, photographed with all of its humour and warmth.
Every tradition
The thali, tied to the sound of the nadaswaram, is the sacred heart of the ceremony, and we capture it close. From the kanyadaanam to the saptapadi, the ceremony tells its own story, and we follow it closely. We photograph the kanyadaanam, the giving away of the bride, at the mandapam with quiet care.
The mehndi, the nichayathartham and the nalangu each carry their own mood, and we photograph them all. From the henna of the mehndi to the songs of the oonjal, the events set the tone for the wedding. We are glad to cover a single event or the whole multi-day celebration.

The whole celebration
Tell us which events matter most and we will build the coverage around them. The days before the wedding often hold the most relaxed, candid moments of the whole celebration.
The story often ends with the grihapravesam that welcomes the bride into her new home. The best galleries are spread evenly across the day, not saved for the thali tying alone.
Why choose us
Couples choose us for our calm presence and our knowledge of every ritual, from the kashi yatra to the saptapadi. A thousand weddings in, we still find every muhurtham unique, and photograph it that way.
Multi-venue days are never an issue; we plan the route and the early muhurtham timings in advance. We cover London and the surrounding area and beyond, and are glad to travel further afield for the muhurtham on request.

Where we travel
We factor in travel and the early muhurtham start carefully, so we are in position before the nadaswaram begins. We are glad to discuss your temple, your mandapam and the journey between your venues when you enquire.

Good to know
Yes. We are comfortable photographing respectfully inside temples and kalyana mandapams, working quietly around the priests, the nadaswaram players and the homam fire, so the ceremony is captured beautifully and never disturbed.
Yes. We have photographed Sri Lankan Tamil weddings for many years alongside South Indian ones, and we are familiar with the customs and the flow of the day, so nothing about your celebration catches us off guard.
Always. We carry backup cameras, lenses and memory cards to every wedding, and we back up your images on the day itself, so your photographs are safe from the muhurtham right through to the last of the reception.
Very. We photograph the thali tying, the saptapadi and the homam from a respectful distance with quiet, long-lens work, so the priests and the family are never disturbed and the sacred moments are captured just as they happen.
Yes. Many Tamil muhurthams are set for the very early morning, sometimes before dawn, and we are used to it. We arrive in good time and are fully ready, so the sacred hour is captured calmly and without any rush.
