Nuneaton is the largest town in Warwickshire and the birthplace of the novelist George Eliot, who was born on the nearby Arbury Estate. Nuneaton railway station is a junction on the West Coast Main Line, also served by the Birmingham to Peterborough line, with the A444 running through the town. When there is time for couple portraits, Riversley Park beside the River Anker, adjacent to the town centre is a favourite, and Nuneaton Museum and Art Gallery, with its George Eliot displays makes a memorable setting.

Hindu, Sikh, Gujarati, Muslim and Tamil weddings

At the gurdwara, the couple's walk around the Guru Granth Sahib during each laav is captured with reverence. A ceremony is a sequence of small sacred acts, not one photograph, and we tell it as the story it is, from the first ritual to the last. At a Sikh wedding the exchange of garlands and the palla placed in the couple's hands begin the Anand Karaj, and we follow from the very first hymn.

The bhangra and the dancing carry the reception late into the night, and we stay for all of it. The dhol and dancing of the baraat are pure joy, and we capture every bit of the energy. For Gujarati families the garba and the raas fill the evening with colour and movement, and we love photographing them.
