Nuneaton is a Warwickshire town with a South Asian community. We photograph Asian weddings across Warwickshire, including Bedworth, Hinckley and Atherstone, at temples, gurdwaras, mosques, mandaps and banqueting halls. We cover the whole of the Midlands, and Nuneaton and the towns around it are well known to us.

We blend candid storytelling with a handful of timeless, beautifully lit portraits. We work discreetly around the priest, the granthi or the imam, never intruding on a sacred moment. We photograph the sacred and the joyful with equal care, the vows as faithfully as the bhangra.

We have photographed Asian weddings throughout Bedworth, Hinckley and Atherstone for many years, and Nuneaton, a Warwickshire town with a South Asian community, is a familiar and welcome destination. We also cover nearby Leamington Spa and Warwick. Around Nuneaton we regularly photograph at Weston Hall Hotel and Coombe Abbey, among others.

Nuneaton is the largest town in Warwickshire and the birthplace of the novelist George Eliot, who was born on the nearby Arbury Estate. Nuneaton railway station is a junction on the West Coast Main Line, also served by the Birmingham to Peterborough line, with the A444 running through the town. When there is time for couple portraits, Riversley Park beside the River Anker, adjacent to the town centre is a favourite, and Nuneaton Museum and Art Gallery, with its George Eliot displays makes a memorable setting.

Hindu, Sikh, Gujarati, Muslim and Tamil weddings

At the gurdwara, the couple's walk around the Guru Granth Sahib during each laav is captured with reverence. We work quietly around the priest, the granthi or the imam so the ceremony is never disturbed. For Tamil and South Indian families, the muhurtham and the tying of the thali are the sacred centre of the ceremony.

The bhangra and the dancing carry the reception late into the night, and we stay for all of it. The dhol and dancing of the baraat are pure joy, and we capture every bit of the energy. For Gujarati families the garba and the raas fill the evening with colour and movement, and we love photographing them.
