The session runs at the children's pace. The full group comes first, while everyone is fresh, then the session moves through smaller combinations and quieter moments, with breaks for snacks and feeds. Guided posing helps relatives who are not used to being photographed.
Your Colindale family later looks through the online gallery together and picks favourites without any sales push. Files are delivered web-ready and print-ready, so they can be shared with relatives abroad, and albums, frames and canvases can be ordered too.

I attended Northwood Hills Studio-Kaushik Bathia photography with my family and I had the most amazing time. My family was made to feel extremely relaxed and welcomed, and the result was some fabulous images He was organised and professional and kept everything stress free. A very enjoyable day out with fantastic photos as a result.
Having had Mr Bathia to do our family studio photos with our first child, we again went for him second time round with our second child 5 years later. He is extremely good in getting our girls attention to capture lovely photos. He is a great photographer and would definitely recommend him.
Took brilliant pictures this year for me and my family! and even before hand 16 years ago took very professional pictures hence why we came back!

Yes. A maternity sitting marks this stage of pregnancy with gentle, flattering portraits, taken at the studio or outside. Plenty of parents book maternity and newborn sessions as a pair, so the pictures follow the whole story from bump to baby.
All of them. Family sessions welcome newborns through to grandparents, and the session is planned around the youngest and the oldest present. A baby needs warmth and feeding breaks, a toddler needs space to move, and an older relative may want a chair; the studio can provide all three.
Yes. Birthdays, anniversaries, a new arrival or a visit from family overseas are all good reasons for a session. For a Colindale family marking a move into a new home, a session nearby or at the studio can record everyone at that point in time. Mention the occasion when booking.

Guides
Family photography reading from our journal for Colindale parents.
Colindale is home to a mixed, international community, and a family session there is often about bringing relatives together who do not get to share a room very often. Grandparents visiting from abroad, a new baby, cousins over for a weekend: these are the moments when a proper set of pictures matters most. Outdoors, Montrose Playing Fields and Colindale Park give open grass for a large group, and the pond at Heybourne Park makes a gentle backdrop for a smaller family. The Silk Stream running through the area adds some green shelter along its banks. Big groups need planning. Send a list of who will be there and the combinations you want, such as each grandparent with the grandchildren, so nobody is forgotten in the excitement. Photograph the full group first, while everybody is tidy and paying attention, then let the children play while smaller frames are taken. Coordinate colours across the family rather than matching them, and keep heavy patterns to one person at most. For newborns, elderly relatives or a winter date, the studio in Northwood Hills is the comfortable option, with seating, warmth and parking close by. From Colindale it is around 7 miles, and families can visit 10:30 to 18:00 Monday to Saturday or 13:00 to 18:00 on Sundays.
