We photograph the sangeet dances close enough to feel the energy, catching the missed steps and the triumphant finishes that make the family performances so loved. Chooda ceremony mornings are close and emotional, with the red and ivory bangles slid on by the uncle while the family watches, and we work in tight for the hands and the tears.
