An agni burning indoors at noon is far dimmer than whatever daylight stands behind it in the window. Meter on the couple and that window blows; meter on the window and the couple vanish. We take the couple, then lift their shadow side with one small light set off to a flank, never square on, because frontal fill flattens a face that already has flame beneath it. Ask whether the room can be aired between rounds, since haze otherwise settles on every lens in the building.

Haldi and sangeet each bring a room of their own and whatever bulb its ceiling was fitted with, and neither improves with a light stand nearby. The varmala is the shortest thing you will pay us for. Garlands travel upward, so the frame stays tall enough to hold flowers and faces together, and it does not happen twice. Kanyadaan is a small gesture, as is the sindoor, as is the mangalsutra, and a sleeve hides all three, so we take position before any of them starts. For the vidaai we stand back.
