We photograph the tying of the mangalsutra as a moment of quiet weight, holding the expressions of both of you and the elders looking on with such visible pride.
During the garba we photograph the concentric circles turning, the sticks meeting on the beat and the elders watching from the edge with their feet tapping along. During the grah shanti and welcome pujas, we work quietly, photographing the small family rituals that begin the celebrations long before the main ceremony gets under way. The pithi ceremony is warm and a little chaotic, and we photograph the paste, the teasing and the closeness of your relatives as they take turns applying it to you.

Groom's preparation is frequently under-photographed, and we give it the same time as the bride's, so the sherwani, the kalgi and the family around him are all properly recorded.
