The short answer
Kaushik Bathia is an award winning wedding photographer based in London, photographing weddings in Weybridge and throughout Surrey for over twenty five years and more than a thousand celebrations. Our couple portraits are unhurried and easy; we find good light, give a little gentle guidance, then leave room for you to relax and be yourselves. From intimate register office ceremonies to grand country house weddings, and from village churches to garden and marquee celebrations, we photograph every kind of wedding in and around Weybridge. Twenty-five years in means we understand how a wedding day flows, so we can guide you through the parts we handle without ever taking over your day. Engagement shoots, a second photographer for busier days and beautiful fine art albums are all part of what we offer, and we travel throughout Surrey and the rest of the UK for your wedding.
Serving Weybridge
Weybridge is an affluent Surrey town with riverside venues. Whether you choose a register office, a barn, a country house or a hotel, we photograph across Surrey and know the area around Walton-on-Thames, Woking and Esher closely. In Weybridge and beyond, we have photographed ceremonies of every kind, and that experience means we anticipate each moment rather than chase it.
Our editing is understated and true to life, favouring natural tones over heavy effects so your album still feels right many years from now. We shoot loosely and instinctively, following the energy of the room, so the collection you receive moves at the same pace the day actually did. During the quiet stretches we keep looking for the details you arranged, the flowers, the notes, the table settings, and fit them in without slowing anything down.
Weybridge is a place we return to often for weddings. As an affluent Surrey town with riverside venues, it offers plenty of character, and we photograph couples here as well as across nearby Epsom and Camberley. Venues we know well in and near Weybridge include The Hand and Spear, Brooklands Hotel and Oatlands Park Hotel.
Weybridge is an affluent Surrey town where the River Wey meets the River Thames, historically home to Brooklands, the world's first purpose-built motor racing circuit. Weybridge railway station is served by South Western Railway on the Waterloo to Woking line, with journey times to London Waterloo of around 30 to 35 minutes. We often take couples to The riverside towpaths where the Wey Navigation meets the Thames at Weybridge for a few quiet portraits, and Brooklands Museum is a lovely backdrop nearby.

What we offer
Printed albums are made by hand from your favourite frames, so the day lives somewhere beyond a screen.
A relaxed shoot before the wedding lets us get to know each other and helps you feel at ease on the day.
Chosen frames can become prints for the wall, sized and finished so a favourite moment stays in view.
Every kind of wedding
Whether you marry in a church, a register office or under a canopy in a country garden, we photograph the vows discreetly and with real respect for the setting. For any faith or none, we treat the ceremony as sacred to you, working gently so nothing we do pulls focus from the vows themselves. A registry office wedding can be just as moving as any cathedral, and we bring the same attention to the small, tender details wherever your vows take place.
We set aside a little time for portraits, walking with you somewhere quiet for a handful of relaxed frames that still feel like you. We photograph the speeches from more than one angle when a second photographer is with us, so you keep both the joke and the reaction to it. A pre-wedding shoot around Weybridge or a place that means something to you gives us relaxed images and a head start on the wedding day.

The whole celebration
For weddings spread across more than one day, we plan the coverage in advance so each event, from the welcome dinner onwards, gets its proper place. The hours before the ceremony hold some of the loveliest pictures of all, so we begin with the getting ready and let the anticipation build on its own.
The finished set should feel like the day itself, unhurried in the morning, warm over the meal and loose by the evening. Rather than chasing every second, we hold the shape of the day, giving each part enough frames to stand on its own later.
Why choose us
Years of experience have taught us to plan for the things that can go wrong and to carry the spare gear that means they never reach you. With more than twenty-five years and over a thousand weddings behind us, very little on a wedding day is new to us, and that calm shows in the pictures.
When a day is spread out or the drive is a long one, a second photographer can travel with us so coverage across Surrey stays unbroken. It is no trouble at all for us to head out to Walton-on-Thames, Woking and Esher and the wider Surrey, and we often do exactly that across the wedding season.

Where we travel
Wherever the celebration takes you, we come along, covering venues throughout Walton-on-Thames, Woking and Esher and right across Surrey without a fuss. We are used to travelling for weddings, so reaching your venue in Surrey is straightforward, and we happily follow the day from preparations through to the evening.

Good to know
Many couples find it does. A relaxed pre-wedding session lets you get used to how we work and how you look in your photos, with no pressure and no audience. It also gives us images for save-the-dates or guest books. By your wedding day, being photographed feels natural rather than new.
Of course. A wedding runs on teamwork, so we liaise happily with your planner, venue coordinator, celebrant, videographer and band to keep the day flowing. We stay aware of the schedule and step back for key moments like the ceremony and speeches, so everyone gets what they need without treading on each other.
Your date is held once we have a signed agreement and a booking deposit, with the balance due before the wedding. The deposit secures your date against other enquiries and comes off your total. We keep the paperwork simple and clear, and we are always happy to explain any part of it before you commit.
It depends on your plans, though most couples choose coverage from the morning preparations through to the first dance, which is around eight to ten hours. If you would like us there for only part of the day, that is absolutely fine too. Tell us your timings and we will suggest what fits your Weybridge celebration.
We know a wedding brings many costs together at the same time, so we are glad to arrange a simple payment plan. Most couples pay the booking fee up front, then settle the balance in a couple of instalments before the day. Just let us know what works for you and we will do our best to help.
Look for a full gallery from real weddings rather than a few standout shots, a style that feels natural to you, and someone you warm to when you meet. Experience matters most on the day itself, when timings slip and the light changes. We have photographed more than a thousand weddings since 2001, so very little takes us by surprise.
Yes. We carry professional lighting and fast lenses, so dark ceremony rooms, winter afternoons and evening receptions are all manageable. We know how to work in low light without flattening the mood of a room. You do not need to change your plans around the forecast or the season.
