Movement, rather than exposure, is what limits us in the hall. Once the laavan are under way, getting up and walking across the floor stops being available, which makes the spot chosen at the outset the spot held for the duration. It gets picked for a clean sightline to two faces, not for the broadest view of the room. Long lens, available light, and the hall's own lamps left uncorrected.
Everything around that fixed hour drifts. Milni lands outdoors or in a doorway, whenever the two families genuinely turn up.
