The pheras around the agni, each carrying a vow, are the heart of the ceremony, and we capture them close. We work quietly around the pandit so the ceremony at the mandap is never disturbed. We photograph the kanyadaan and the joining of hands at the mandap with quiet care.

The mehndi night, the sangeet and the haldi each carry their own mood, and we photograph them all. We photograph the milni, when the two families meet, with all of its warmth. The mehndi is intimate and detailed, and we photograph both the henna and the laughter around it.
