Serving Gerrards Cross
Commercial work in Gerrards Cross is mostly people and premises: team pictures, a founder portrait, a room photographed for a website or a listing. We travel to premises across the town, and to Iver, Fulmer and Stoke Poges, while the Northwood room stays open for the days when a plain background suits the job better than your own walls.
The craft point for small premises is exposure order. We photograph a room empty and again with people working in it, and expose for the window rather than the ceiling fittings, because a picture balanced to the fittings turns the daylight outside into a white hole.

What we offer
Team headshots photographed at your premises in Gerrards Cross, with our own lighting carried in for consistency.
Interiors photographed empty and again in use, balanced to daylight so the windows do not blow out white.
Later hires photographed to the same measurements, so a team page keeps one consistent look.
Local and experienced
Before the day we agree a running order and how long each person can be away from a desk, so the business keeps trading while we work. Half a morning covers a small team comfortably, and nobody loses more than a few minutes of it.
Pictures are supplied cut to the shapes your website actually uses, in colour and in mono, and the lighting notes are kept, so a person hired next spring can be added later without a visible change of style.

Good to know
Yes, either at your premises or at our Northwood room. At your end we need one room with roughly three metres between a clear wall and the camera, a power socket, and people sent through in a running order agreed in advance. Allow about seven minutes each. Anybody missing on the day can be added at a later visit and matched to the rest.
Yes, and for premises work that is usually the sensible way round. Worth checking before the date in Gerrards Cross: where we can unload, whether there are stairs, which room can be emptied for an hour, and whether trading hours put a limit on when we can be in it. We work around customers, and closing for the morning is not needed.
The Broadway, 21 Joel St, Northwood HA6. For commercial work in Gerrards Cross it rarely matters, because we come to you and bring the lighting with us. It matters in two cases: when somebody needs photographing against a plain background with nothing of the office visible, or when your own rooms are too small to get a camera far enough back. Then it is a short booking at our end.
Yes. Colour correction, retouching and background clean-up are included as standard, so every commercial file arrives polished and ready to publish. For product shots we can remove marks and tidy backgrounds, and for headshots we keep any retouching natural and flattering. Around Gerrards Cross we plan for landmarks such as St James Church, a Grade II* listed church of 1859 designed by Sir William Tite with its distinctive dome.

Because Gerrards Cross is a commuter town, most of the working premises in it are small: rooms serving the people who live here rather than sites employing the people who work here. That changes the job in two practical ways. The first is access. A small office or shop cannot shut for an afternoon, so we set up in a corner and work around the trade instead of asking it to stop, and the useful hour is often the first one after opening, while the place is still tidy and empty. The second is ceilings. Small commercial rooms tend to be lit from above by fittings of one colour and through a window of a completely different one, and skin caught between the two turns green on one side and blue on the other. Our own lighting comes in with us for that reason, and the ceiling decides how it gets used: a low white one can be bounced off for a soft, even result, while a dark or coloured ceiling has to be ignored and the light shaped directly instead. For a team, consistency is the whole deliverable. We measure the setup and write down the distances and heights, so that somebody hired after the shoot can be photographed later and dropped into the set without the join showing. Fulmer, Iver and Stoke Poges sit inside the same travel radius, and the Northwood room is there for anyone whose own premises are simply too tight to work in.
