Berkhamsted is a pretty Chilterns market town on the Grand Union Canal, known for its historic high street and canal side setting. Berkhamsted station is on the West Coast Main Line to London Euston, and the Grand Union Canal runs through the town. When there is time for couple portraits, Ashridge Estate and Berkhamsted Common, woodland and open commons is a favourite, and Berkhamsted Castle, the ruined Norman motte and bailey castle makes a memorable setting.

The rukhsati, when the bride leaves with the groom, is the most tender moment, and we photograph it gently. The signatures of the witnesses that complete the nikah-nama are captured with care. We photograph the blessings and the prayers of the imam with reverence.

For many families the mehndi is the ladies' celebration, and a female photographer can cover it with ease. The pre-wedding events are often where the most natural photographs come from, and we give them full attention. The music and dancing of the mehndi are pure joy, and we capture every bit of the energy.
