Owners can join in, and we photograph the easy affection between you and your animal rather than stiff poses. We plan the light and background in advance; at Chiswick House Gardens, where dogs must be on short leads in the Italian Garden, Kitchen Garden and café areas, that means choosing open parts of the grounds for the livelier shots.
Each session starts by reading your pet's mood, and the pace follows from that. A nervous rescue dog and an over-excited spaniel need different handling, and the session is paced to settle either.
