For Roxeth
Every session goes at the animal's pace. There is time to sniff around and relax before the serious pictures, treats and toys are used to catch attention, and short breaks keep a tired or excitable pet from switching off.
You then browse an online gallery and choose the frames you love without being hurried. Fur, eyes and colour are retouched with a light hand, and your selection can be delivered as files or ordered as prints, frames and canvases.

We had our family portraits done many years ago with Kaushik Bathia and we loved them so we have now returned again this time with new additions to the family. On all the occasions we went Kaushik Bathia has taken care of everyone and made everyone laugh and smile especially the children in order to get the best photos.
We had a great experience with our family photoshoot. The photographer made everyone feel relaxed and comfortable, which really shows in the final photos. The images are natural, well-captured, and beautifully edited. We’re all really happy with the results and would highly recommend.
Fantastic service, Kaushik captured some amazing shots of our family. He is patient, professional, friendly and creative which really helps when trying to get pictures with young children. You never feel rushed and the final product will be something we cherish for years to come. This was our second time with Kaushik and we will be going back again. We have no hesitation in recommending him. Thank you Kaushik!
What we offer
Outdoor pet portraits on open grass at Roxeth Recreation Ground or in Alexandra Park's gardens.
Cats, small pets and anxious dogs photographed indoors at Northwood, at the animal's own pace.
With or without owners in the frame, paced entirely around the animal.
Local and experienced
Sessions stay short and fun, and they finish as soon as your pet starts to tire, while it is still enjoying itself. Kaushik watches for the little things, a lifted paw, a lolling tongue, a slow sleepy blink, that bring a pet portrait to life.
Prints for the wall, albums and small desk frames mean your pet's personality can turn up in every room of the house. Backdrops range from clean and plain to deep, rich colour, chosen to suit your animal's coat and temperament.

Good to know
Yes. Dark coats need careful light so the texture of the fur shows and the eyes catch a highlight, rather than the animal becoming a black shape. In the studio the lighting is set specifically for this, and outdoors, open shade or soft cloud gives a far better result than bright sun.
By letting them set the pace. Animals are given time to explore the space before the camera comes up, voices stay low and movements slow, and breaks are taken whenever a pet starts to tire. Owners can stay close throughout, which reassures most animals more than anything else.
The animal decides more than the clock does. Some pets give their best pictures in the first few minutes; others need a while to forget the camera is there, so sessions are never cut short just as an animal relaxes. The time set aside is confirmed when you book, and outdoor sessions near Roxeth allow a little longer for settling in.
Yes, both. Bring the treat your pet will do almost anything for and a toy that makes a noise, as these are the quickest ways to win a head tilt or a pair of pricked ears. Check any dietary limits beforehand, and bring water and a familiar blanket for outdoor sessions.
Yes. Favourites picked from your online gallery can become prints, framed pieces, canvases or albums, and they also arrive as digital files. For prices, Roxeth pet owners can ask by phone or on WhatsApp and the details are given on request.
Serving Roxeth
Roxeth, the old hamlet below Harrow Hill, has Roxeth Recreation Ground and Alexandra Park close at hand for owners planning a pet session. It sits close to Harrow on the Hill and West Harrow, which we cover too. Whether your animal relaxes more indoors at Northwood or outside nearer Roxeth decides where the pet session happens.
Roxeth grew from a hamlet beside the main road south of Harrow Hill, and today its owners have green space close by at Roxeth Recreation Ground and Alexandra Park. South Harrow, on the Piccadilly line's Uxbridge branch, is the Tube station for Roxeth, and for pets travelling by car there is parking close to the Northwood studio.
More in Roxeth
Beyond pet portraits, Roxeth owners can turn to the same Northwood studio for family, portrait, headshot and commercial photography. Explore the rest: we also cover pet photography across Greater London, including Hampstead, Ealing Broadway, Chiswick, Colindale, Southgate and Pinner Green.
Guides
Reading from our journal to help you plan a calm, happy session for your animal from Roxeth.
Owners in Roxeth have two green spaces close to home that can work for a pet session, each with a different character. Roxeth Recreation Ground is the more open of the two, with wide grass between its pitches, which gives a running dog room to stretch out and gives the camera a clean, uncluttered line behind the animal. Alexandra Park is more enclosed, with gardens and planting that make a softer backdrop for a sitting or lying pose. Harrow's public spaces protection orders cover dog control in the borough's parks, and anyone hoping to bring more than four dogs at once needs the council's permission, so a multi dog household should plan around that rule. Outdoors, the best pictures usually come after the animal has had ten minutes to sniff and settle; rushing the first frames gets ears back and a tense mouth. Bring the treats your pet works hardest for, a squeaky toy for attention at the decisive moment, and a lead in a colour that is easy to remove in editing. For cats, rabbits, nervous rescues and very old dogs, the Northwood studio is about 4 miles from Roxeth and offers a calm, contained room with no traffic noise, where an animal can be photographed with or without its owner, entirely at its own pace.
At the studio
Roxeth pet owners have about 4 miles to travel to The Broadway, 21 Joel St, Northwood HA6 1NU. Pet sessions go in the diary ahead of time, and prints, frames, restoration and scanning are completed in the studio. Opening times run 10:30 to 18:00 each day Monday to Saturday, with Sunday hours of 13:00 to 18:00.
Behind the lens for every pet session is Kaushik Bathia FBIPP FMPA, based in Northwood since 2001 and a winner of five European Kodak Gold Awards.
