The short answer
An award winning, London based Asian wedding photographer, Kaushik Bathia has spent more than twenty five years photographing Hindu, Sikh, Muslim, Gujarati and Tamil weddings in Farnborough and across Hampshire. We anticipate each ritual, whatever the tradition, so the key moments are never missed. Multi day Asian weddings are a speciality in Farnborough, from the pre wedding events and the baraat to the ceremony and the reception, whatever your tradition. You want a photographer who reads the day instinctively, and instinct like that is simply what twenty-five years of Asian weddings leaves behind. A second photographer for the busiest days, a female photographer where needed and beautiful fine art albums are all part of what we offer, and we travel throughout Hampshire for your wedding.
Serving Farnborough
Farnborough is a Hampshire town with a South Asian community. Across Aldershot, Fleet and Frimley and the rest of Hampshire, we cover the mehndi, the ceremony and the reception with a careful eye. At a Gujarati mandap we know the hastamelap and the four mangal pheras, and we photograph them in the order your priest keeps rather than a generic script.
The food, the decor and the small details matter to us, so between the big set pieces we quietly gather the textures that make your day yours. Across a long day we keep watching the edges of the room, where a grandmother's tears or two cousins laughing often say more than the staged group. We capture the details too, the flowers, the jewellery, the mandap and the mehndi, that make your day yours.
Whether your celebration is in Farnborough itself or elsewhere in Hampshire, we plan travel and timings with care. Farnborough is a Hampshire town with a South Asian community. We also photograph in nearby Aldershot and Southampton. Close to Farnborough, we have worked at venues including Northbrook Park and Froyle Park.
Farnborough is a Hampshire town in the Blackwater Valley long associated with aviation and the biennial Farnborough Airshow. Farnborough Main railway station is on the South Western Main Line from London Waterloo, near junction 4 of the M3. For pre-wedding and couple portraits, we love spots such as Farnborough Park, a public park with open green space near the town centre, with The Farnborough Air Sciences Trust Museum, set in the historic 1908 Royal Balloon School headquarters close by for a striking backdrop.

What we offer
As you circle the sacred fire, we photograph each round and the blessing that follows without ever crowding the mandap.
Discreet coverage of the Anand Karaj and the laavan in the gurdwara.
We cover the Sikh ceremony with the respect it asks for, capturing the palki, the hymns and the moment you are joined.
Every tradition
A nikah turns on the giving of consent, the mehr and the signing of the contract, and we record each with the dignity the occasion carries. The blessings of parents and elders draw many ceremonies to a close, hands resting on heads in benediction, and we hold those tender moments gently. The garland exchange, when the couple meet with the jaimala, is a moment of pure joy we love to photograph.
The bhangra and the dancing carry the reception late into the night, and we stay for all of it. For Gujarati families the garba and raas fill an evening with circling colour and movement, and we love following the dandiya sticks and the swirling skirts. From the turmeric of the haldi to the music of the sangeet, the events set the tone for the wedding.

The whole celebration
The days before the wedding often hold the most relaxed, candid moments of the whole celebration. The first day of a wedding often sets the whole mood, and we treat the sangeet rehearsals and family songs with the same care we give the vows themselves.
We always recommend a little time for couple portraits, often at golden hour, away from the bustle. Feeding hundreds of guests takes time, and we use those stretches to photograph the generations at the tables, the elders resting and the children weaving between the chairs.
Why choose us
We have built our reputation on reliability, warmth and a genuine love of the work. More than a thousand celebrations sit behind us, and that depth means we recognise the mangalsutra moment, the fourth laav or the signing of the nikah before it arrives.
We are London-based and travel across Hampshire and the wider region for Asian weddings. We cover the whole of the UK for Asian weddings, so wherever your family gathers, distance is never the reason to look elsewhere.

Where we travel
London-based but seldom in London, we spend much of the year photographing weddings out across Hampshire and the counties that border it. We are glad to talk through your venues and the journeys between them when you first enquire, so the logistics are settled long before the day.

Good to know
Soon after your Farnborough wedding you will receive a small preview, and your full edited gallery follows once the editing is complete. We then design a hand-finished album that holds the whole story of your celebration.
Yes, we do. When an Asian wedding in Farnborough is on the larger side, we bring a second photographer, so simultaneous events and big guest lists are fully covered and the baraat and the preparations are captured at the same time.
Yes. Through the evening we capture the grand entrance, the speeches, the first dance and the bhangra of your Farnborough reception, right to the last guest on the floor. The reception is the joyful finale of the celebration, and we photograph all of its energy and colour.
Yes, both. We photograph the nikah with all its dignity, the signing of the contract and the giving of the mehr, as well as the warmth of the walima. In Farnborough we work within your family's customs and arrange additional photographers where events are held separately.
Yes. Every image we deliver is edited by hand for colour, tone and consistency across the days, and we retouch our selected portraits with a light, natural touch. We aim for photographs that look timeless rather than heavily processed, so they age well in your album.
Yes, these evenings are some of our favourites. The mehndi, sangeet and garba are full of colour, music and family energy, and they set the tone for everything that follows. We record them in a relaxed, observational style so the laughter and dancing come through honestly.
Certainly. Having photographed Hindu, Sikh, Muslim, Gujarati and Tamil ceremonies, we are well placed to bring two sets of customs together in one story. We photograph fusion and mixed-faith weddings regularly, blending the traditions of both families with care and understanding.
