For pre-wedding and couple portraits, we love spots such as Higginson Park, the riverside park beside the Thames in the centre of Marlow, with Marlow suspension bridge, designed by William Tierney Clark and completed in 1832, alongside All Saints Church close by for a striking backdrop.

Understanding the Order of Your Ceremony

We are mindful of every family's customs at the ceremony, and photograph them exactly as they happen. During the most solemn passages we step back and lengthen the lens, so the granthi's words or the sacred fire are photographed from a respectful distance. At a Gujarati mandap we know the hastamelap and the four mangal pheras, and we photograph them in the order your priest keeps rather than a generic script.

The reception is the joyful finale, with speeches, the first dance and the bhangra. The farewell, when the bride leaves her family, is the most tender moment of many Asian weddings. The dhol player sets the pulse of the baraat, and we work close to the drum and the dancers so the picture carries the sound within it.
