The Walima
The groom's family walima feast, from the grand entrance to the last dance, captured in full.
Discreet, respectful Muslim wedding photographer in Croydon, from the recitation of the khutbah to the joy of the walima feast, with a documentary style and a handful of timeless portraits.
Serving Croydon
Croydon is a large south London town with a diverse community and grand event venues. From the nikah to the walima, we keep the day flowing across venues throughout Thornton Heath, Purley and Norbury. Right across Greater London we photograph the colour and devotion of every event, large and small.
We blend candid storytelling of the mehndi with a handful of timeless portraits after the nikah. We work discreetly around the imam or qazi, never intruding on the ijab-e-qubool or the dua. We respect gender-segregated celebrations and plan our coverage of the men's and ladies' sides with care.
Couples come to us from right across London and the surrounding area, and Croydon is firmly on our patch. Croydon is a large south London town with a diverse community and grand event venues, and we know its venues well. We also cover nearby Hayes and Rayners Lane. Venues we know well in and near Croydon include Grand Sapphire, Addington Palace and Imperial Banqueting.
Croydon is a large town in south London with a diverse community and a major town centre. East Croydon station is a major rail hub and interchange with London Tramlink. For pre-wedding and couple portraits, we love spots such as Lloyd Park, a large landscaped park served by its own tram stop, with Fairfield Halls, a major arts, theatre and concert venue close by for a striking backdrop.

What we offer
The groom's family walima feast, from the grand entrance to the last dance, captured in full.
A female second photographer for the ladies' side, so the women's mehndi and celebrations are fully covered.
From the morning preparations to the last dance of the walima, every event told as one story.
Every tradition
The rukhsati, when the bride leaves with the groom, is the most tender moment, and we photograph it gently. At the heart of a Muslim wedding is the nikah, the marriage contract that joins the couple. We work quietly around the imam so the nikah is never disturbed.
For many families the mehndi is the ladies' celebration, and a female photographer can cover it with ease. The mangni, the engagement that begins the journey, is one we are glad to cover when families ask. The walima is the joyful feast hosted by the groom's family, and we cover it in full.

The whole celebration
The ladies' mehndi is often a celebration of its own, and a female photographer can cover it fully. Tell us which events matter most and we will build the coverage around them.
On the wedding day, the nikah, the signing of the contract and the mahr build to the rukhsati and the walima. Whether the nikah and walima are on the same day or spread across a weekend, we plan for it.
Why choose us
We bring the steadiness that only comes from photographing the mehndi and the walima for twenty-five years. Couples choose us for our calm presence and our knowledge of the order of the nikah.
We are London-based and travel across Greater London and the wider region for the nikah and the walima. We are London-based but rarely in London; much of our work takes us to mosques and banqueting halls across London and the surrounding area.

Where we travel
We cover London and the surrounding area and beyond for the mehndi, the nikah and the walima, and travel further afield on request. We photograph across Greater London regularly, and travelling to a nikah in Croydon is second nature.
