For Yeading
Your pet is given time to sniff about and get used to the camera before we ask for a single pose. A short walk along the brook settles most dogs, and then treats or a favourite toy are used sparingly to catch attention. Leads are kept loose and low so they can be retouched out cleanly afterwards.
Afterwards your pet's photos go into an online gallery, and you choose favourites whenever you are ready. Retouching is careful, removing leads and stray debris while keeping coat colour and markings true. Every image comes web ready and print ready, and you can order frames, canvases, prints or albums for the house.

In one word "AWESOME" We arranged a family photo shoot for six, four children and two adults.. the whole family was made to feel very comfortable (even allowing a change of clothes from smart to casual) and the children although apprehensive at first (being children) were literally in hysterics by the time we left... would definitely HIGHLY RECOMMEND and use again when everyones a little older...
Kaushik was great when he took photos of our wedding, and was equally great when doing a family studio session, involving entertaining 8 children (ages 0 up to 11).
I attended Northwood Hills Studio-Kaushik Bathia photography with my family and I had the most amazing time. My family was made to feel extremely relaxed and welcomed, and the result was some fabulous images He was organised and professional and kept everything stress free. A very enjoyable day out with fantastic photos as a result.
What we offer
Meadow and woodland pet portraits near Yeading, with leads retouched out afterwards.
Studio sessions about 5 miles away for cats, rabbits and nervous animals.
Unhurried sessions that follow your animal, with or without owners in shot.
Why choose us
Owners help throughout, calling and gesturing so your pet's eyes land exactly where the shot needs them. We treat a lively young puppy and a grand old cat quite differently, matching our pace to the animal in front of us.
Backdrops range from clean and plain to strong colour, chosen to flatter your animal's coat and personality. You can step into the pictures with your pet or stay just outside the frame to keep them calm.

Good to know
Yes. After picking your pet's best frames from the online gallery, you can order prints, frames, canvases and albums, and you also receive web ready and print ready files. A large canvas of a single portrait often works well above a fireplace, while an album suits a series from a longer session.
Yes. Sessions run on location within about 20 miles of the Northwood Hills studio, and Yeading is about 5 miles away. We can photograph your pet at home, in a garden or on a local walk, bearing in mind that Hillingdon Council requires permission for professional photography in its parks.
Yes. Dark coats lose detail when the light is flat, so we position your pet to catch light along the fur and in the eyes. Bright overcast days outdoors are ideal, and in the studio the lighting can be shaped to bring out texture. The aim is a dark coat with visible detail, not a silhouette.
No, though local rules shape the plan. Yeading Brook Meadows and Ten Acre Wood both require dogs on a lead, so for full speed running shots we might use a private garden or the studio, where play is easier. A long walk before the session helps an excitable dog focus on treats and toys.
Yes: Kaushik Bathia holds the FBIPP and FMPA, set up the studio in 2001 and has collected five European Kodak Gold Awards. Pet sessions are run at the animal's pace, with patience, treats and plenty of breaks, and the studio is rated 4.8 from 580+ Google reviews.
Serving Yeading
Yeading, part of Hayes in Hillingdon, has brookside meadows and canal towpaths that could suit a pet session. It sits close to South Ruislip and Southall, which we cover too. Depending on the animal, a Yeading pet session can be held in Northwood or outdoors close to home.
Yeading owes its name to the Yeading Brook on the upper Crane, and dogs must stay leashed in the 24-hectare meadows it flows through. Willowtree Marina, on the Paddington Arm of the Grand Union Canal at Yeading's northern edge, gives a waterside setting for an outdoor pet session. For outdoor pet sessions, Yeading Brook Meadows near Willowtree Marina is one choice, bearing in mind Hillingdon's permission rule for professional photos in its parks; Hayes & Harlington station on the Elizabeth line serves the area.

Guides
Journal reading on getting a pet ready for a session in Yeading.
Yeading is surrounded by nature reserves, and a pet session there needs to respect their rules. Yeading Brook Meadows, managed by London Wildlife Trust, asks that dogs are kept on a lead, and the same applies at Ten Acre Wood and Meadows on Charville Lane, where cattle graze. A lead is easy to remove from a finished photograph, so this rarely spoils anything, but it does mean running shots are better planned elsewhere or done in the studio. Hillingdon Council also limits walkers to six dogs at a time in its green spaces, requires paid walkers to be registered, and asks for permission for professional photography in its parks, so a session on council land is arranged properly in advance. The upside is scenery: meadow grasses, ponds and the brook give a natural, country look that suits spaniels, terriers and any breed with a coat that catches the light. Bring a towel, since the brook and ponds attract dogs that like water. The studio, about 5 miles from Yeading on the Northwood Hills parade, is the easy alternative for cats, rabbits, small pets and any animal that is unsettled by wildlife smells. The studio sits two minutes from Northwood Hills station on the Metropolitan line, with parking close by for anyone bringing a pet by car. Your animal sets the pace, and owners can be in the frame or out of it.
At the studio
