For Yeading
We photograph the full family early, before small children lose interest, then move on to pairs and smaller groups, letting siblings play and parents step in and out of the frame. Kaushik gives simple, friendly directions so nobody feels they are being drilled, and breaks are taken whenever a child needs one.
Once the session is over, an online gallery lets you choose favourites in your own time, with no sales pressure. Retouching is light and natural, and the chosen images are supplied as web ready and print ready files. Canvases, frames, prints and albums can be ordered, which makes thoughtful gifts for grandparents and relatives.

Great customer service and very professional. I booked a family photo session with him for a Sunday evening at 5pm however, got stuck in traffic and couldn't get to the studio until 5:45 pm. He was very patient and waited until we got to there. He was very good at making my daughter smile in all the pictures.
We had the loveliest experience having our family photos taken at this photography studio in Northwood Hills. The photographer was absolutely wonderful, so warm, patient and amazing with the kids! He really knew how to keep them entertained and capture their personalities so naturally. 🥰📸 The photos came out absolutely beautiful, and these are memories we will cherish for a lifetime.
We had our family portraits done many years ago with Kaushik Bathia and we loved them so we have now returned again this time with new additions to the family. On all the occasions we went Kaushik Bathia has taken care of everyone and made everyone laugh and smile especially the children in order to get the best photos.
What we offer
Outdoor family sessions near the playground and ponds at Yeading Brook Meadows.
Quieter woodland pictures at Ten Acre Wood, with its old oaks over hazel.
A warm studio about 5 miles from Yeading for newborns and winter dates.
Why choose us
Each session is planned around who is coming, from a busy house full of cousins to a quiet newborn sitting. Small children get time and games, and before long they stop noticing the camera.
Wall art, canvases, prints and albums are put together from the family frames you like most. We then select and edit the strongest pictures, and you see them online before deciding on any prints or an album.

Children are happiest where there is space to run and the car is close, so easy access beats a spectacular view. Here are some places in and around Yeading, each summarised from a linked source.

Good to know
Yes, and they are very welcome. If someone finds uneven ground difficult, the paths and open grass near the playground at Yeading Brook Meadows are easier than woodland, and the studio, about 5 miles away with parking close by, avoids walking entirely. A grandparent seated in the middle gives the group a natural centre.
Yes. Kaushik arranges people only enough to make sure faces are visible and well lit, then encourages the family to talk, play and react to each other. Children who are allowed to move tend to look happier than children told to stand still, so movement is part of the plan.
Simply tell us as early as possible. Young children get ill or have bad days, so if yours is out of sorts we would much rather move the date than push on. We will happily find another date that suits your Yeading family and gets everyone smiling.
Your images are shared in an online gallery after the session, and we will give you an expected date when you book. You can then take your time choosing favourites, with no pressure. Once your selection is in, the chosen photographs are retouched and delivered as web ready and print ready files.
Probably not, and that is fine. Sessions run at the child's pace, so we photograph what toddlers do naturally: running, exploring, climbing onto a parent's lap. Outdoors, the ponds and playground at Yeading Brook Meadows offer easy distractions. Bring a favourite snack and a small toy for the moments when attention fades.
Serving Yeading
Yeading, the Hayes neighbourhood in Hillingdon where the Yeading Brook Meadows open out, has green space for a family session. It sits close to South Ruislip and Southall, which we cover too. Yeading families can come to the Northwood studio or book an outdoor shoot closer to home.
The brook that gave Yeading its name, part of the upper Crane, divides Yeading Brook Meadows with its playground, ponds and cricket pitch. Willowtree Marina marks Yeading's northern edge on the Grand Union Canal's Paddington Arm; for a family shoot in any Hillingdon park, the council asks for permission first. Hayes & Harlington station on the Elizabeth line Sessions on location near Yeading can use Yeading Brook Meadows, with Willowtree Marina on the Paddington Arm of the Grand Union Canal close at hand.

Guides
Before a family session in Yeading, these journal guides help with clothes, timing and little ones.
Families in Yeading have plenty of open ground nearby, though the character of each place differs. Yeading Brook Meadows on The Greenway has a children's playground, ponds and a cricket pitch alongside its grassland, so younger children have something familiar to head for between photographs. Hayes End Community Park on Kingsway, in the same UB4 area, offers a playground too, along with football pitches and a small cycle track, which can be useful for a child who relaxes best on a bike. For a quieter setting, Ten Acre Wood and Meadows on Charville Lane has century-old oaks over hazel coppice and is grazed by cattle, a lovely rural feel only minutes from home. Remember that Hillingdon Council requires permission for professional photographs in its green spaces, including family shoots, so build that into the planning. Grassland is open to the sun, so an overcast day is often kinder to faces than bright midday glare. Pack wipes, a spare top for each child and a picnic blanket, which doubles as a place to sit for the group picture. When the weather is cold, or a newborn is joining, the studio on the Northwood Hills parade is the sensible choice: about 5 miles from Yeading, warm, and with parking a short walk away.
At the studio
Yeading families have about 5 miles to travel to the studio at The Broadway, 21 Joel St, Northwood HA6 1NU. There we hold booked family, portrait and headshot sittings, and carry out printing, framing, restoration and digitising ourselves. Family visits from Yeading can be planned for Monday to Saturday between half past ten and six, or a Sunday afternoon from one until six.
Kaushik Bathia, FBIPP and FMPA, photographs every family session himself, as he has since opening in Northwood in 2001, and has five European Kodak Gold Awards.
Popular sessions
