Ask which side the daylight arrives from before the table is positioned. Registrars are not uniform either. One will happily let the camera work the aisle from beginning to end; another expects stillness at the back until the certificate has been signed.

Formal groups are what couples reliably get wrong. A dozen arrangements will outlast the ceremony comfortably, and whoever knows that this great-aunt belongs beside that cousin is never going to be the photographer. Keep the list short, then put a relative who enjoys shouting names in charge of it. Run properly, it ends before the drinks do. Run from memory, it consumes the whole reception and half the light with it.

Will my photos look natural or heavily filtered?+

Natural. Colour is pulled back toward what the room actually looked like, skin is not smoothed, and no preset gets dropped across the set. Ten years on, a heavy edit dates a photograph faster than the dress ever will.

Do you bring a second photographer?+

Only when the day actually calls for one. Two preparations in separate houses, or a ceremony overlapping the reception, are the usual triggers; a single building on one timeline seldom is. We would rather turn the extra down than sell it.

We are not used to being photographed. Will you direct us?+

Enough to start you off, then very little. People stiffen the moment somebody asks them to look natural, so instead you are given a task: walk over there, talk between yourselves, forget about us. The usable frames appear roughly a minute later.

Can we have the raw or unedited files?+

The finished ones, yes, at full resolution. Raws stay with us, because they are unprocessed and a good half of them are duplicates, blinks or test frames. Handing those across would misrepresent the work rather than add anything to it.

Do you offer wedding albums for couples in North Harrow?+

Yes, though not automatically. Some couples would rather have prints in a box, and a few want nothing physical whatsoever. Where one is wanted, we design it, show you the layout, and alter whatever you ask before it is printed.
