A circuit repeats, which is the whole problem: walk it seven times and you get seven photographs that look alike unless the person holding the camera relocates between passes. So during the saptapadi we relocate, a quarter turn at a time, letting whoever sits behind the couple supply the difference. Varmala runs the opposite way. Arms up, garland down, finished inside a second, no repeat available. We settle where both faces stay visible before it begins, and once the garland is raised nothing about our position alters.
