For Iver Heath
Each sitting begins with a chat about what you want the portraits to say and where they will be used. Kaushik then works through a sequence of set-ups, adjusting light, angle and expression, and leaves time for a change of outfit or two.
You view an online gallery after the session and pick the images you like best, with no pressure to buy more than you want. Your chosen portraits are retouched with a light hand and supplied as web and print files, and prints, frames and albums can be ordered too.

Good to know
Yes. Small groups of friends or relatives can be photographed together outdoors near Iver Heath, for example among the pines or by the lake at Black Park Country Park, or in the studio in Northwood. Kaushik arranges the group so every face is clearly lit and nobody is hidden, then adds a few individual portraits within the same session.
Yes, and it is a good idea. Two or three outfits give the gallery variety, perhaps one smart, one relaxed and one in a stronger colour. In the studio there is somewhere to change; outdoors, a change can be done back at the car between settings. Plain, well-fitting clothes usually work better than busy patterns.
Pick clothes you feel confident in, in plain colours that flatter your skin tone. Avoid large logos and very fine stripes, which can distract. For woodland settings such as Black Park, warm or neutral tones stand out better than greens and khakis, which tend to blend into the trees.
Get a good night's sleep, have clothes pressed and ready the evening before, and arrive with a few minutes to spare so you do not feel rushed. Think about how the portraits will be used, as that shapes the style. Beyond that, simply turn up; posing is guided throughout, so there is nothing to rehearse.
Yes. A partner, friend or family member can step in for part of the sitting, adding a few frames together to your own portraits. Let Kaushik know when you book who will be coming, so the time and set-ups can be planned and both of you can coordinate clothing colours.
Serving Iver Heath
Iver Heath, the south Buckinghamshire village between Iver and Denham that is home to Pinewood Studios, is about 6 miles from the studio. It sits close to Iver and Uxbridge, which we cover too. Iver Heath portraits can be taken in Northwood or outdoors, perhaps under the pines of Black Park Country Park.
Iver Heath grew around Heatherden Hall, the Victorian country house whose estate became Pinewood Studios in 1936. For portrait clients using public transport, Iver station in Richings Park is on the Elizabeth line, and Uxbridge station is the end of the Metropolitan and Piccadilly lines. For an outdoor portrait, Black Park Country Park beside Pinewood Studios offers pine woodland, heathland and a lake of over 13 acres.

Portrait sitters from Iver Heath can also book the services below with the same Northwood photographer. Explore the rest: we also cover portrait photography across Buckinghamshire, including Denham, Iver, Chalfont St Peter, Beaconsfield, Amersham and Chesham.
Iver Heath sits inside the Colne Valley Regional Park, and that gives a portrait session here access to settings that feel far more rural than the distance from London suggests. Black Park Country Park, just over the boundary in Wexham, combines a lake of more than 13 acres with mature pine, mixed woodland and heathland. The tall, straight pines are especially useful for portraits: they filter harsh sun into a soft, even light and create strong vertical lines behind the sitter. The lake edge, by contrast, opens the frame up and reflects light back into the face. Langley Park is the other strong candidate, with trees planted by Capability Brown, an arboretum and the Temple Gardens rhododendrons, which make a vivid backdrop when they are in flower. Under a dense canopy, colours can drift towards green, so neutral or warm clothing usually photographs better than olive or khaki. Comfortable shoes are wise on woodland paths. If you would rather have the certainty of a plain backdrop and controlled light, the Northwood studio is about 6 miles from Iver Heath, beside Northwood Hills station on the Metropolitan line, and it is open on Sunday afternoons as well as Monday to Saturday.
