For Iver Heath
Kaushik takes the whole-group photograph first while everyone is fresh, then works through smaller combinations: siblings, parents together, grandparents with grandchildren and each child alone. Children are kept busy with games so their expressions are real.
After the session the family browses an online gallery and chooses favourites with no pressure. Pictures arrive ready to share and to print, with prints, canvases, frames and albums available from your chosen images. Nothing has to be decided on the day.

Kaushik was great when he took photos of our wedding, and was equally great when doing a family studio session, involving entertaining 8 children (ages 0 up to 11).
Amazing experience with Kaushik photography. Pictures came out very high quality. The studio is also very nice and family friendly. The photographer there took his time to capture very memorable detail and that meant a lot to my family and I. I’ll definitely recommend Kaushik Bathia
I would HIGHLY recommend Northwood Hills Studios to anyone who wants to do family photos or special occasion photos.
What we offer
Black Park sessions with woodland light and a playground to look forward to afterwards.
Langley Park's arboretum and rhododendrons for a softer, garden setting.
Newborn and baby sessions in the warm Northwood studio, about 6 miles away.
25+ years behind the lens
Every generation gets its moment, from a toddler's first wobbly steps to a grandparent's lap. Sessions are planned around naps and feeds, so little ones are photographed when they are happiest.
Galleries are turned round promptly, so prints, canvases and albums can be ordered while the day is still fresh in your mind. Grandparents, older children, the family pet or a much-loved toy are all welcome in the session.

Recent work
Children settle sooner where there is grass to run on and an easy walk from the car, more than at a grand viewpoint. Here are some places in and around Iver Heath, each summarised from a linked source.

Good to know
Yes. Location sessions are offered within about 20 miles of the studio, and Iver Heath is about 6 miles away, so an outdoor family session at Black Park Country Park or Langley Park is easily arranged. If the weather looks poor, the session can move to the Northwood studio instead.
Yes. The older children are usually photographed first, while they are still interested, then with the baby in their arms or beside them, with a parent close by for safety. The studio is the best setting for a newborn because it is warm and calm. Bring a favourite toy or snack to keep older siblings happy.
Yes, and they should be. Parents are so often the person taking the pictures that they barely appear in the family album. So every session includes the whole family together, the parents as a couple and each parent with the children, as well as plenty of the children alone.
Yes. Big groups, three or four generations included, can be photographed in the studio or outside. Outdoors, a spot with enough even shade is chosen so nobody squints, and people are arranged in layers so every face is visible. After the main group shot, smaller family units are photographed separately so each household has its own pictures.
Pick two or three colours that sit well together and build the family's clothing around them, rather than matching outfits exactly. Avoid large logos and bold patterns. For woodland at Black Park, warmer tones or soft blues stand out nicely against the greens. Bring spare clothes for small children in case of mud or spills.
Serving Iver Heath
Iver Heath, between Iver and Denham in south Buckinghamshire, is famous as the village that houses Pinewood Studios. It sits close to Iver and Uxbridge, which we cover too. Iver Heath families can come to the Northwood studio or meet outdoors, perhaps in Black Park Country Park with its adventure playground.
Iver Heath's centre is Heatherden Hall, the Victorian house whose grounds became Pinewood Studios in 1936. Families travelling by train can use Iver station on the Elizabeth line, in Richings Park south of the village. For on-location sessions we can head to spots such as Black Park Country Park, close to the well-known Pinewood Studios.

For an outdoor family session from Iver Heath, Black Park Country Park is an obvious first thought. It has open water, pine and mixed woodland, heathland, an adventure playground and two cafés, so a family can plan the photographs around a morning out rather than the other way round. The playground is a useful reward to hold back until after the main pictures, which keeps young children cooperative while the group frame is taken. The woodland gives soft, even light under the trees, kind to faces of every age. Langley Park offers a gentler alternative, with an arboretum, Capability Brown planting and, in season, the colourful Temple Gardens rhododendrons, as well as views towards Windsor Castle. Grandparents who prefer not to walk far can be photographed close to a path and a bench, with the younger generations gathered round them. Ground in woodland can be soft and uneven, so sensible shoes and a spare set of clothes for any child prone to puddles will save trouble. Coordinate the family in two or three complementary colours rather than identical outfits. When the weather turns, or for a newborn, the studio in Northwood is about 6 miles from Iver Heath and offers a warm, controlled space with parking nearby.
