West Ealing is a busy residential and shopping district in the London Borough of Ealing, just west of Ealing Broadway. We photograph clients across Ealing Broadway, Hanwell and Northfields, at our Northwood studio, in family homes and gardens, and at churches, temples and reception venues. Alongside weddings, that includes engagement portraits, christenings and milestone birthdays, at home, in the studio or in a nearby park.
For young families in W13 we offer maternity, newborn and first-birthday sessions, and the same family can come back as the children grow. A newborn shoot needs a warm, quiet room and plenty of time, so we plan it for the first weeks after the birth and work at the baby's pace, at home or in the studio. For a cake smash we set everything up before your one year old arrives, because the fun lasts only a few minutes and we would rather let them lead than ask them to wait.

A hamlet called West Ealing was recorded here in 1234 and was later renamed Ealing Dean. From Northwood we also reach Ealing Broadway, Hanwell and Northfields with ease. West Ealing and the towns around it offer venues such as The Drayton Court Hotel and Ealing Town Hall.
West Ealing centres on the busy Broadway shopping street and its weekly farmers' market on Leeland Road. The area is being regenerated around its Elizabeth line station. West Ealing station, in fare zone 3, is served mainly by Elizabeth line trains between Abbey Wood and Heathrow Terminal 4, with Great Western Railway running the Greenford branch. When there is time for couple portraits, we can head to Dean Gardens, with St John's Church on Mattock Lane for a memorable setting.
For a family session we would also suggest Walpole Park at the edge of central Ealing, the 28-acre Grade II park that was once the grounds of Sir John Soane's Pitzhanger Manor. That is fine, and we work with it. In Dean Gardens, which has two play areas off its Uxbridge Road entrance, we would let children run and play and photograph them as they go. Short bursts with breaks work best, and parents are welcome to join in. You end up with pictures of your child simply being themselves.
That depends on the kind of shoot and the time of year. Headshots and portraits usually take a couple of weeks, whereas wedding galleries are larger and need longer. Mention any deadline when you book, such as a LinkedIn update or a family gathering, and we will plan around it and keep you posted.
Well-fitted, plain clothes in colours suited to your line of work photograph best. A shirt, with or without a jacket, suits most LinkedIn and company portraits, and bold patterns or logos tend to distract. Press your shirt the night before and pack a spare in case it creases on the journey.
