The short answer
Kaushik Bathia is an award winning Asian wedding photographer based in London, photographing Hindu, Sikh, Gujarati, Muslim and Tamil weddings in Croxley Green and throughout Hertfordshire for over twenty five years and more than a thousand celebrations. On the dance floor we shoot fast and close, catching the bhangra, the dhol and the uncles who never sit down, so the party reads as alive as it felt. We photograph every Asian wedding tradition in Croxley Green, from the Hindu mandap and pheras to the Sikh Anand Karaj, the Muslim nikah and the Tamil muhurtham, across multi day celebrations. We have stood quietly beside the sacred fire, walked the gurdwara with the couple and waited for the thali to be tied, so nothing about your ceremony is unfamiliar. You can add a second photographer, a female photographer and hand finished albums, and we are glad to travel across Hertfordshire and beyond, so wherever your celebration is held it is within reach.
Serving Croxley Green
Croxley Green is a village beside the Chess and Gade valleys. Families throughout Rickmansworth, Watford and Sarratt bring us into their gurdwaras, mosques and banqueting halls, and we treat each setting with the respect it is due. At a Sikh wedding the exchange of garlands and the palla placed in the couple's hands begin the Anand Karaj, and we follow from the very first hymn.
We photograph the elders and the children as closely as the couple, because a wedding is the whole family gathered, not just the two people at the centre. We plan our movements so the couple never feels managed, staying near enough to catch everything and far enough to let the day belong to you. We capture the details too, the flowers, the jewellery, the mandap and the mehndi, that make your day yours.
Whether your celebration keeps to Croxley Green or spreads across Hertfordshire, we plan the day around your venues. Croxley Green is a village beside the Chess and Gade valleys, and we know it well, as we do neighbouring Sarratt and Knebworth. Croxley Green and the towns around it offer venues such as The Waterside Venue, The Grove and Moor Park Golf Club, all familiar to us.
Croxley Green is a Hertfordshire village beside the Chess and Gade valleys, arranged around one of the longest village greens in England. Croxley station sits on the Watford branch of the London Underground Metropolitan line, between Watford and Moor Park. For portraits away from the celebration, Croxley Common Moor, a 39.5 hectare Site of Special Scientific Interest and Local Nature Reserve works beautifully, and All Saints Church and the historic tree lined village green known as The Green adds a real sense of place.

What we offer
Discreet coverage of the Anand Karaj and the laavan in the gurdwara.
Whether Hindu, Sikh, Gujarati, Muslim or Tamil, we know the rituals well enough to anticipate each one before it happens.
Between the rituals we gather calm, considered portraits of you both, made to sit comfortably beside the candid frames.
Every tradition
We are ready for the giving of the sindoor and the tying of the mangalsutra at a Hindu ceremony. Whatever your family keeps, Hindu, Sikh, Muslim, Gujarati or Tamil, we follow the ritual closely and respectfully. As the sindoor is applied and the mangalsutra tied, a Hindu marriage is complete, and we are ready for both of those small, fast gestures.
The mehndi or henna night is intimate and detailed, and we photograph both the henna and the laughter around it. The pre-wedding events are unhurried and full of feeling, and we give the mehndi, the haldi and the sangeet the same attention as the wedding day itself. The mehndi evening is close and detailed, henna curling across the bride's hands while the room fills with song, and we photograph the artistry and the laughter alike.

The whole celebration
There is a particular kind of joy in a haldi, all warmth and yellow and gentle teasing, and we photograph it the way it actually happens, unhurried and honest. Garba and dandiya call for a photographer who can keep up, so we stay inside the rhythm of the dancing rather than watching politely from the edge of the floor.
We capture the reception in full, the speeches, the first dance and the bhangra. An Asian wedding day rarely runs to a single clock, so we plan around the ceremony, the meals and the long gaps in between, staying ready for whatever arrives next.
Why choose us
One studio, comfortable with every tradition, means you need only one experienced team for the whole celebration. The recommendations that fill our diary come from families who felt understood rather than sold to, and who saw their traditions photographed with real respect.
We photograph across Rickmansworth, Watford and Sarratt regularly, and returning to the county for a wedding feels less like travel and more like familiar ground. We would rather arrive early and wait than keep you waiting, so we allow generous time for the drive to and around Hertfordshire.

Where we travel
We photograph across Hertfordshire regularly, and travelling to Croxley Green is second nature. From London we reach Croxley Green easily, and we know the venues of Hertfordshire well.

Good to know
It depends on your day, but full-day coverage usually works best, since most Asian weddings run from the morning preparations right through to the reception and full coverage captures the whole story. For multi-day celebrations we tailor the hours, covering one key day or a long weekend from beginning to end.
Yes. The vidaai is often the most emotional moment of the day, and we record it with quiet respect, staying at a gentle distance so the family can share it without feeling watched. These are among the most treasured images we deliver from an Asian wedding.
Many times. Asian weddings bring together dhol drummers, decorators, caterers and entertainers, and we know how to work alongside them without getting in each other's way. Good coordination on the day keeps things flowing, and it means we are always in the right place when something happens.
We can. When a celebration keeps events separate or segregated, additional photographers let us cover every part of the day with sensitivity and discretion. Simply let us know what your family needs at the enquiry stage, and we will build the coverage around it.
We do. After twenty-five years across Hindu, Sikh, Muslim, Gujarati and Tamil weddings, the order of events in each tradition is second nature to us, which means we are always where we need to be for the moments that matter most.
Yes, and we enjoy the variety a fusion day brings. Whether you are combining a Hindu ceremony with a civil service, or a Sikh and Muslim family coming together, we respect the customs of each side. We plan the timeline carefully so both traditions are given equal attention.
Because Croxley Green is an easy, familiar journey from our London base. You gain a widely experienced Asian wedding specialist who has photographed every tradition, who knows the local venues, and who travels to you without any fuss.
