Sudbury and nearby
We set up in whatever room happens to be free and work around whatever else is going on that morning. The lighting is ours, so nobody has to find a window or clear a wall in advance.
Twenty minutes of photographing is normally plenty for one person, including a change of shirt if you bring one. You choose from a gallery, the picks are retouched one at a time, and files arrive as a square crop and a wider version that leaves space for a headline.

What we offer
We arrive in Sudbury with lighting, stands and background; the room only has to lend a corner.
Distance and focal length logged at each sitting, so next year's picture belongs beside this one.
Plain-background headshots made in Northwood when the workplace itself should stay out of the picture.
Local and experienced
We edit down to the strongest frames with you, then finish your chosen images with a light, natural hand. For personal branding we build a small set of looks, so your images work across your whole online presence.
Retouching keeps things natural, softening shine and tidying flyaways without making you look unlike yourself. We include enough variety in each session to cover LinkedIn, your website and a more formal profile.

Good to know
Yes. Sudbury is on the regular round, along with Sudbury Hill, Perivale and North Wembley. Lighting, stands and background come with us, so what your side supplies is a corner of a room, a couple of paces of floor and a plug socket. A room without windows is fine. Where the picture should show no office at all, we would use the Northwood room instead.
Often, yes. Since we come out to Sudbury there is no venue to book and no room to hire, so a single headshot can sometimes happen inside a few days. Give us the deadline at the enquiry and you will get a straight answer about whether it is realistic. Edited files normally follow within a few days of the sitting itself.
Yes. Actor and acting headshots are a speciality. We shoot honest, characterful frames sized and formatted for Spotlight, casting sites and your agent, focusing on natural expression rather than anything staged, so casting directors see the real you. We cover Sudbury and nearby Sudbury Hill, Perivale and North Wembley.
Yes. We supply acting headshots in the sizes and formats casting platforms require, Spotlight included. Framed as natural head-and-shoulders portraits, they read honestly, which is precisely what agents and casting directors are hoping to see. For outdoor photographs in Sudbury we would suggest Barham Park, with landscaped gardens on the former Barham family estate.
The turnaround is quick. Your selected, retouched headshots are normally ready inside a few days, and we can push them to the front of the queue if a deadline is looming. Tell us your timing when you book and we will work to it. Landmarks we can work with near Sudbury include Sudbury Town station, a Grade II star listed building designed by Charles Holden.

Sudbury Town is on the Uxbridge branch of the Piccadilly line, and the consequence for headshots is a booking pattern rather than a travel problem: people here arrange one portrait for themselves, not a whole department at once. That is easy to organise and hard to match afterwards. Two pictures can share a wall, a lens and an identical shirt and still refuse to sit next to one another, because what separates them is how far away the camera stood. A face recorded from a metre carries a heavier nose and smaller ears than the same face recorded from three, and no edit repairs that. So the working distance and the focal length get noted alongside the lighting, and a repeat sitting is rebuilt to those numbers instead of guessed at. For most people here the real choice is between their own workplace and the Northwood studio, and the deciding question is what the finished picture is meant to say. If it should say nothing about location, the studio does that better, since a controlled wall does not shift with the sky. If it should say where somebody works, we carry the lighting out and the room need only offer a corner. Glasses are worth raising at the enquiry, not on the morning itself. Reflections are solved by lifting the light and tilting the arms down a degree or two, which takes seconds when it is expected and eats half a sitting when it is not.
