We work the gaps between those posts instead of shooting through them, which means picking three or four standing spots before anyone sits down. Kanyadaan and the varmala both land where movement is impossible, so those spots have to be right first time.

Saptapadi runs as a circuit, and lazy coverage of one leaves you holding seven pictures that barely differ. Height changes between rounds, so does our side of the circle, so does focal length, and what comes back afterwards reads as progression. Sindoor lasts a moment and never announces itself; the cue arrives from watching a priest's hands, not the couple's faces. Vidaai, likewise, is not something anybody can stage twice for a camera.
