Canons Park is the ground worth planning an Edgware sitting around, and the reason is the designation rather than the size: a registered historic park is a landscape that was laid out to a design instead of simply left as open field. Designed ground gives a portrait what it actually needs, which is structure behind the head. Planting arranged in groups, sightlines that carry rather than stop dead, made paths that survive rain.
