Canons Park is the ground worth planning an Edgware sitting around, and the reason is the designation rather than the size: a registered historic park is a landscape that was laid out to a design instead of simply left as open field. Designed ground gives a portrait what it actually needs, which is structure behind the head. Planting arranged in groups, sightlines that carry rather than stop dead, made paths that survive rain. Flat black and bright white are the two extremes that ask the most of an edit, since one loses its folds and the other grabs the eye. Mid tones with a single texture do more than a pattern ever does.
