A residential neighbourhood on the edge of Watford in the Three Rivers area of Hertfordshire. Reached via Carpenders Park station on the London Overground Lioness line towards Watford Junction. For relaxed couple photographs, we like Oxhey Park, riverside parkland beside the River Colne in Watford, and Oxhey Chapel, a Grade II listed seventeenth century chapel founded in 1612 gives the day a strong sense of Oxhey.

For Gujarati families, we know the hastamelap and the four mangal pheras and photograph each as you keep it. The jaimala, when the couple exchange garlands, is a moment of pure joy we love to photograph. We know the order of the mandap rituals by heart, so we are always in position.

The vidaai, when the bride leaves her family home, is the most tender moment of the day. The mehndi is intimate and detailed, and we photograph both the henna and the laughter around it. We document the roka and the engagement that begin the journey, when families ask us.
