Serving Sarratt
Sarratt is a pretty Chilterns village with a historic green. Across Chorleywood, Chipperfield and Rickmansworth and the rest of Hertfordshire, we cover the nikah, the walima and the celebrations with a careful eye. We photograph nikah ceremonies at mosques, banqueting halls and homes right across Hertfordshire.
We blend candid storytelling of the mehndi with a handful of timeless portraits after the nikah. We are a reassuring presence at the banqueting hall, so the baraat and walima flow naturally. We arrive early for the mehndi, stay late for the walima and keep pace with every part of the celebration.
We know Sarratt and the surrounding part of Hertfordshire well, having photographed Muslim weddings throughout Chorleywood, Chipperfield and Rickmansworth. Sarratt is a pretty Chilterns village with a historic green, and we are often in nearby Knebworth and Welwyn too. Local Muslim wedding venues we know near Sarratt include Micklefield Hall and The Grove.
Sarratt is a pretty Chilterns village in the Three Rivers district, clustered along a long narrow historic green about four miles north of Rickmansworth. Sarratt is served by nearby Chorleywood and Rickmansworth stations on the Metropolitan line, and lies close to junction 18 of the M25. For pre-wedding and couple portraits, we love spots such as The Chess Valley and Sarratt Bottom, a chalk stream landscape in the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with The Church of the Holy Cross, a flint and brick church founded around 1190 close by for a striking backdrop.

What we offer
The nikah-nama signed by the couple and their witnesses, photographed with quiet, respectful care.
Beautifully bound albums and fine prints designed around your favourite nikah and walima images.
The groom's family walima feast, from the grand entrance to the last dance, captured in full.
Every tradition
We photograph the signing of the nikah-nama by the couple and their witnesses with quiet attention. From the ijab-e-qubool to the dua, the ceremony tells its own story, and we follow it closely. We are ready for the agreeing of the mahr, the gift from the groom to the bride.
The walima is the joyful feast hosted by the groom's family, and we cover it in full. The reception and walima are the joyful finale, with speeches, family and dancing. The mehndi night is full of colour, music and dancing, and often holds the warmest moments of all.

The whole celebration
A multi-day Muslim wedding can run across three or four days, and we plan our coverage around all of them. The ladies' mehndi is often a celebration of its own, and a female photographer can cover it fully.
The best galleries are spread evenly across the day, not saved for the nikah alone. We capture the walima in full, the speeches, the family and the energy of the floor.
Why choose us
With twenty-five years and over a thousand weddings behind us, nothing about a nikah or walima surprises us. We have spent twenty-five years learning the detail of the mehndi and the nikah, and it shows in every gallery.
We are glad to discuss your masjid, your walima venue and the journey between them when you enquire. We photograph nikah ceremonies throughout the Home Counties, and Sarratt is firmly within the area we cover.

Where we travel
We photograph across Hertfordshire regularly, and travelling to a nikah in Sarratt is second nature. From our London base, Sarratt and the rest of Hertfordshire are an easy journey for your nikah.

Good to know
We do. The rukhsati, when the bride bids her family farewell and departs with the groom, is often the most moving moment of all. We photograph it softly and with great care, keeping a respectful distance so the family's emotion is honoured, never intruded upon.
Not long after the wedding, we send you a small preview to enjoy while you wait. Your full edited gallery follows, and then we design a hand-finished album that gathers the whole story of your celebration into something lasting and beautiful to keep.
Yes. Since many Muslim weddings keep the men's and women's celebrations separate, we can arrange a female photographer to cover the ladies' side. She works sensitively and discreetly, in keeping with your family's wishes, so the women's moments are always beautifully captured.
Absolutely. The mangni, the mehndi and the dholki are often where the warmest, most natural moments happen, and we are glad to cover them as part of your wedding, with a female photographer for the ladies' events where you wish.
Yes, gladly. Distance is never an obstacle for us. We regularly photograph nikah ceremonies, mehndi nights and walima receptions well outside London, and we will happily make the journey to your venues, planning the travel and timings around your day with care.
