Dogs are photographed outdoors in Sarratt, on the green or down in the valley, while cats and house rabbits stay put at home, because a cat carried somewhere unfamiliar spends the hour underneath the furniture and gives you nothing. Kings Langley, Bovingdon and Flaunden come under the same arrangement, and older or anxious animals are visited at their own address whatever species they happen to be.
Worth mentioning at booking: the coat colour. Black, dark brindle and cream coats each want a different background and a different hour of the day around here, and settling that beforehand beats settling it out on the green with the light already going.

We had a family shoot at the studio, Kaushik took some wonderful photos. He was excellent with the kids and was very good at making them smile naturally, the end results were brilliant. We purchased a canvas and 2 further large framed photos. All completed on time and to perfection. Very pleased.
I took my elderly parents to have photos path the grandchildren. The whole experience from photo shoot to choosing and picking up the photos was amazing. Kaushik was polite helpful and friendly and made all the kids and my elderly parents feel comfortable. They all enjoyed the experience and the photos were amazing. He even delivered them home on Christmas Eve!

Sessions are short on purpose and finish when the animal is finished, not when a list runs out. We photograph from its own eye level, use a long line where recall is unreliable, and leave the lead visible instead of fighting it, since a lead is simple enough to remove afterwards.
You pick from an edited gallery afterwards and those frames get retouched properly. The lead can be taken out. The wet nose, the muddy chest and the grey around the muzzle all stay exactly where they are.

- Chorleywood House grazing dog exclusion. Three Rivers' 2025 dog control order excludes dogs from land used for grazing at Chorleywood House Grounds between 1 June and 30 September, when a herd of Sussex cross Aberdeen Angus cattle grazes the meadows. 1
- River Chess at Sarratt Bottom. The River Chess, an 11-mile chalk stream rising near Chesham, flows through water meadows at Frogmore and the watercress beds at Sarratt Bottom to the west of the village, and the only working watercress beds on the river are at Moor Lane, Sarratt. 2
- Sarratt Green listed buildings. Sarratt Green is lined with Grade II listed buildings, including The Boot pub, Sarratt House with its front railings, the White Cottage and Holly Tree Farmhouse. 3
- Three Rivers dog control order. Sarratt falls under Three Rivers District Council's dog control order, which bars dogs from children's play areas, courts, outdoor gyms, skate areas and fenced-off picnic areas and limits one person to four dogs at a time. 4

Yes, gladly. The first weeks go by fast, and a puppy or kitten session keeps them. Sessions stay gentle and playful, with short bursts of photographs while the youngster explores, so the character of those first months comes through.
An edited online gallery that shows your pet's real character. From it you can choose prints, frames or canvases for the house. Editing is quick, so the gallery reaches you soon after the session, not weeks later.
An hour, give or take, of which maybe twenty five minutes is the dog genuinely giving us something. We stop there instead of pushing on. Choosing one or two nearby spots in advance means more of that time is spent photographing and less of it walking between them.
Both. Dogs are nearly always better outdoors in Sarratt, using the green for running frames and the Chess Valley when more landscape is wanted, though the valley floor stays soft long after rain. Cats, house rabbits and the rest of the indoor animals are done at the house, where there is somewhere to retreat to and they come back out in their own time.
Yes, and in Sarratt we come to the animal rather than the reverse, so nothing about its day has to change. Older and nervous dogs are usually best done in their own garden instead. Two things are worth flagging when you get in touch: whether the lead ever comes off, and whether stock is grazing the fields you normally walk. Both change where we go.

Alongside pet sittings, the studio takes booked portrait, family and headshot sessions, and handles printing, framing, restoration and digitising. Pet sittings at the studio can be booked from 10:30 to 18:00, Monday to Saturday, and from 13:00 to 18:00 on Sundays.
