Dogs can be photographed in Leavesden Country Park, where they are welcome. Anything that dislikes a car journey, cats and rabbits included, can be photographed at home in Abbots Langley, Bedmond, Hunton Bridge or Garston, usually by one decent window with the lamps turned off. Taking the lead off is your decision, never ours, although the council asks for dogs to stay on a lead in the park's grazing area during the summer. Where recall cannot be trusted, a training line stays clipped on throughout and is removed later at the desk, which alters nothing in the finished picture and spares everyone the walk that otherwise follows a loose dog around the park. Sittings are booked ahead, and prints, frames, restoration and scanning are done at the studio.
